Starship Entertainment Forced IVE Ahn Yujin to Take Lessons Due to Her Bad Selfies
Recently, rookie girl group IVE made a guest appearance on the episode 347 of JTBC's long-running variety program Knowing Bros, which aired on August 27.
In this episode, member Ahn Yujin piqued the interest of the cast members for her answer in the TMI (too much information) section of her transfer application to the fictional Brother School.
In particular, Ahn Yujin wrote "selfie class" under her TMI section in the application. Regarding this, Ahn Yujin shared that K-pop idol trainees would take a variety of unique lessons during their trainee days, and for the IVE member, she had to take a class geared towards selfies!
Ahn Yujin reveals she had to take a 'selfie class'
"You know that idol trainees have to take a lot of lessons, don't you? Strangely, I was the only member who had to take a selfie class," Ahn Yujin shared.
Ahn Yujin then revealed the reason why she had to take such a class, confessing that she was bad at taking selfies when was still a trainee. As a result, her label Starship Entertainment made her take the class.
"It is not something that everyone does, but I took very bad selfies during my trainee days. The label wanted me to take prettier photos, so they told me to take two selfies every day and [show them] for confirmation," Ahn Yujin shared.

Ahn Yujin was bad at taking selfies
She continued, "Whenever I take my selfies to the team manager in trainee development, she would say, 'Try taking it again, like this' as feedback."
The idol was then asked if the trainee development team manager was better in taking selfie photos than her, Ahn Yujin drew laughter by expressing her thoughts of being the better one to take selfies.
She said, "I still think that I am better than her when it comes to taking selfies. I am sure about that."

IVE's Latest Release
Meanwhile, IVE recently made their comeback with their third single album entitled "After LIKE" back on August 22. The album features a total of two songs, a lead single of the same name and "My Satisfaction."
The album also marks the rookie girl group's third career comeback since making their debut back on December 1, 2021. "After LIKE" also comes four months after the group released their second single album "Love Dive" back on April 5.
