Dreamcatcher Secures First Music Show Win With 'MAISON'

Dreamcatcher achieved their own "Career High" with their previous release. Their song "MAISON" broke all their personal achievements as it topped the iTunes Top Albums chart in 20 countries, including the United States.

It also topped the iTunes K-pop album charts in eight different countries. Moreover, their album "Apocalypse: Save Us" sold more than 80,000 copies in its first week of sales.

Continuing the momentum, Dreamcatcher also finally took their first music show trophy since their debut in 2017, making it 1,924 days. "MAISON" won 1st place on MBC M's "Show Champion" on April 20.

Further, through "Apocalypse: Save Us in America," one of their world tour legs in 8 cities in the United States and Mexico City, their ticket sales rate was 92%, which is a great feat for a girl group from non-"Big 3" companies.

On August 26, Dreamcatcher also won their first award for this year from the K-Global Heart Dream Awards with "Best Music Video."

Dreamcatcher Re-Debut & Journey

Dreamcatcher went through many ups and downs. They first debuted as the girl group MINX in 2014. After two songs, they went on a hiatus and were reorganized after they recruited new members.

The existing members formed a team again with two additional members and became the current Dreamcatcher. They started their activities in 2017 and celebrated their 5th anniversary this year.

With a concept that has a definite theme, they are a team that pays more attention abroad than domestically.

Dreamcatcher is more recognized by international fans and received favorable reviews for their "Dystopia" series, with the fantastical themes of "Nightmare" and "Anti-Utopia."

It is rare for a Korean girl group to put the rock metal genre at the forefront of their concept, so that is probably the reason they are a huge hit in many countries abroad.

InSomnias are hoping, with this comeback, Dreamcatcher will achieve bigger and grander things.
