SHINee Key's 2nd Studio Album 'Gasoline' Ranks #1 on iTunes Top Album Chart
It's only been two days since its release, but Key is already solidifying his status as K-pop's "Retro King" with various records following the release of his second full-length album, "Gasoline" on August 30.
According to his agency SM Entertainment on the 31st, the album ranked No. 1 on the iTunes top album chart in 23 regions around the world including Finland, Brazil, Australia, Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Russia, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, India, Greece, Hong Kong, Singapore, Turkey, Mongolia, Peru, Philippines, Taiwan, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Kazakhstan, and Lithuania.

The album also debuted at #1 on Worldwide iTunes Top Album Chart, making "Gasoline" the second album to achieve this. On this day, it secured its position atop the rankings for two consecutive days.
Talking about the album, Key broke his personal record with "Gasoline" after recording 29, 604 first-day sales on the Hanteo chart, surpassing his previous record 26, 894 album copies with "Bad Love."

In particular, the album contains a total of 11 including the title track with the same name, which is also attracting attention for its unique music worldview.
Not only international fans were impressed by the song but as well as domestic fans, Key's song entered music charts such as MelOn, Bugs, Genie, Vibe, etc. In fact, the song gained 68.6K streams and 20.3K unique listeners on MelOn in its first 10 hours of release.
The song's performance on YouTube is impeccable as well. "Gasoline" MV amassed 1.8 million views in a day, 3 million in about two days, the fastest solo music video of Key to achieving such milestones.
SHINee Key to Appear in Music Broadcasts With NCT Dream Jeno
Meanwhile, the expectation of the male idol gets higher as he's reported to make his "Gasoline" comeback stage for the first time on September 1 through "M COUNTDOWN."
According to reports, Key will also present a rich comeback stage by performing the tracks "Bound" and "Villain" (Feat. Jeno of NCT)" through music broadcasts this week.
The "Villain" stage is already receiving much anticipation as it will be decorated with NCT Jeno, who participated as a featured artist, so music fans are expected to pay high attention. There is also curiosity if he will bring home his second win as a soloist following "Bad Love."
On the other hand, Key will be on KBS2TV's "Music Bank" on September 2nd, MBC's "Show! Music Core" on September 3rd and SBS' "Inkigayo" on the 4th.
