K-Media Theorizes on How 'Dating' Photos Between BLACKPINK Jennie & BTS V Spread
On September 6, SBS Entertainment News released a report concerning BTS member V's and BLACKPINK member Jennie's private photos.
Anonymous informant A sat down in an interview with the media outlet. There, they said:
"Judging from the pictures' sensitivity and rarity, it is most likely that the user who opened the Twitter account and Telegram rooms hacked the phone or social media account of one of the victims."

They then stated that there was a slight possibility that they did not directly hack their account but hired a hacker instead. They explained their theory, saying:
"For most hackers, they tend to show off the results of their hacking. However, since the photo leaker claims they are not a hacker, I speculate that the person may have used a hacker rental service."
The informant then stated that the possibility of either Jennie or V's social media accounts being hacked is low and that there is a higher chance there is a problem with the idols' phones.

V and Jennie were first involved in dating rumors in May 2022. At the time, a stolen photo of the two idols in a car during a trip to Jeju was spread on social media. Though the rumors became a hot topic, they soon died down.

Back in August, Jennie and V were embroiled in dating rumors once again after a photo of the two in a salon was shared on social media. Jennie is seen taking a picture of the two in a mirror while V is getting his hair done.

Since then, more photos of the two were leaked, such as pictures of them posing in V's house in front of a mirror. Another image of the two in an elevator also made its rounds.
Later on, photos of them video calling, in Jennie's home, and V kissing Jennie's forehead were leaked online.

Soon, unreleased photos of the other BLACKPINK members during their trip to New York were also spread. On top of Jennie and V's dating rumors, the security of BLACKPINK's accounts sparked concern among the public.
Neither YG Entertainment (BLACKPINK's label) nor HYBE Labels (BTS V's label) has spoken on the matter.
