EXO Xiumin opened up about one time he considered getting plastic surgery for THIS reason. In the same broadcast, he also revealed why he decided to become a trainee when he was 19, a bit older than most newbie idol aspirants.
Xiumin Recalls One Time He Considered Getting Plastic Surgery For THIS Reason
Xiumin, a member of EXO confessed his concerns about getting plastic surgery before.On KBS 2TV's "Hong Kim Dong Jeon," which aired on September 25, EXO Xiumin, NU'EST Baekho, and model Jung Hyuk appeared as guests.
Hong Jin Kyung, Jo Se Ho, 2PM Wooyoung, and EXO Xiumin, who were grouped into one team, had a chat while completing their missions.While on their way to their next destination, Jo Se Ho expressed his favor to Xiumin, saying:
"Physically, single eyelids are my favorite style."
In response, Xiumin talked about his unique feature among EXO members and said:
"I'm the only EXO member who doesn't have double eyelids."
Although a lot of people especially EXO-Ls(EXO fandom) and ELSAs (Xiumin fans) love this attribute of him, the male idol then confessed that this made him consider getting plastic surgery for double eyelids. Thankfully, many people stopped him.
"I wanted to do it, but everyone stopped me."
Hearing this, Hong Jin Kyung stopped him as well by saying:
"Xiumin, please never get double eyelids (surgery)."
2PM Wooyoung also strongly agreed and admired his eyes conveying:
"That's going to cause an uproar. You will be scolded. You have such pretty eyes!"
EXO Xiumin Reveals Job If He Didn't Debut as Idol
As the broadcast went on, Xiumin also mentioned his dream wasn't he an idol. While enjoying a sumptuous meal, Xiumin recalled when he joined SM Entertainment as a trainee, at the age of 19.
Jo Se Ho was surprised and asked:
"Didn't you start a bit late?"
In context, idol trainees commonly start to become a trainee at a young age and become an idol already at 19. But in Xiumin's case, he trained for a little over 3 years and debuted when he was 2022
In this regard, Xiumin explained:
"I was originally a preparatory student for the physical education college entrance exam. I dream to become a bodyguard."
He flaunted athleticism by sharing he was a 4th-degree black belt in Taekwondo and 1st Degree black belt in Kendo.
On the other hand, Xiumin, who debuted as EXO in his 20s will make the most out of his 30s as his first solo album will be unveiled on September 26.
According to his agency SM Entertainment:
"Xiumin's first mini-album "Brand New" will be released on various music sites at 6 p.m. KST on the 26th. The music video for the title song "Brand New" can also be seen at the same time through the YouTube SMTOWN channel."
Fans' expectations are high whether what kind of Xiumin will he showcase as a soloist, shifting away from his image as EXO.
