BLACKPINK Jisoo Excites BLINKs With Update on Long-Awaited Solo Debut
Out of the four BLACKPINK members, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa had already made their solo debuts in 2018 and 2021, respectively, with Jisoo being the only member left who has yet to do so.
Since then, BLACKPINK fans, BLINKs, have constantly raised their concerns and anger at the group's agency, YG Entertainment, for not promoting Jisoo the same way as the other members. Thus, they have been demanding the agency to release Jisoo's solo album.

Of course, this doesn't mean that Jisoo didn't have any activities while the other members were busy with theirs. The 27-year-old idol is busy with her own activities as the brand ambassador for Cartier and Dior, as well as making her acting debut as the lead actress for the successful JTBC drama Snowdrop.
Yet, BLINKs are still eagerly waiting for Jisoo's solo debut. But it seems that BLINKs' efforts to get their message across YG Entertainment has been working, and that they don't have to wait too long anymore.
BLACKPINK recently held a fansigning event on September 25 for their latest studio album "BORN PINK," released on September 16. This marks their first fansigning event in more than two years.

Despite the more strict rules in place due to the effects of COVID-19, the BLACKPINK members were still able to interact with fans one-on-one.
In particular, one BLINK took to Twitter to share the conversation they had with Jisoo. According to the BLINK, they had asked Jisoo about the possibility of her making her solo debut.
The BLINK said, "Jisoo, I am graduating soon. I hope your solo album fansigns will happen before then."

To this, Jisoo excites the BLINK by hinting at her solo debut coming soon. She said, "I will be as quick as possible. Please wait a bit more."
Jisoo Reveals 'Something Big' is About to Happen
Another BLINK had also shared that when they asked Jisoo for a spoiler on her solo debut, the idol was reportedly about to say something. However, a manager of BLACKPINK had told the idol that she couldn't say anything.
When other BLINKs had kept asking for about Jisoo's solo teasers and more, the "Shut Down" singer just told BLINKs that they should go to their concert to see it.

Jisoo added that BLINKs should look forward to next week, as "something big" is going to happen, leading many to believe that this may be about her solo debut.
Unfortunately, nothing is guaranteed yet until YG Entertainment makes the official announcement. But hopefully, it won't be long before Jisoo releases her own music.
