On Oct. 4 at 6 p.m. KST, TREASURE returned to the music scene with "THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER TWO" and its catchy title song "HELLO." The new album comes after "THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER ONE," which came out last February.

On Oct. 5, the physical version of the mini album was officially released- and by the end of the day, the boy group set a new personal record for first-day sales on the Hanteo Chart.

TREASURE's album sales with "THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER TWO" on the 5th reached 214,011 copies, marking an increase of almost 47,000 copies. Their previous record was 167,024 copies set by their first EP "THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER ONE."

Notably, the "HELLO" singers broke the record with a lot of time remaining on that day. At 4:20 p.m. KST, a total of 168,616 copies were already sold.

With more than 200,000 sales, "THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER TWO" puts TREASURE at No. 65 on the top 100 list of highest first-day sales of K-pop albums in history. They are also now the ninth male K-pop artist with the highest first-day sales with a 2022 album, following BTS, SEVENTEEN, TXT, ENHYPEN, NCT DREAM, Stray Kids, j-hope, and ATEEZ.

TREASURE has been consistently breaking their first-day sales record on the Hanteo Chart with every album they drop since their debut. This only goes to show that their level of popularity also steadily rises.

TREASURE Achieves Highest Debut on Spotify Daily South Korea Chart
In other news, TREASURE's songs from "THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER TWO" all entered the Spotify Daily South Korea chart simultaneously.
On the chart dated Oct. 5, the title track "HELLO" entered at No. 58- the group's highest debut on the tally in their career. Their previous record was No. 110 attained by "JIKJIN."

As for the B-sides, they all made it to the top 190. "VolKno" sits at No. 137, "CLAP!" at No. 152, "THANK YOU" at No. 155, and "HOLD IT IN" at No. 189.

Regarding the number of streams of the songs on the first day, TREASURE"s "HELLO" reached 475,716, achieving their second-biggest debut streams on Spotify (beating "BOY" with 341,505 streams). Their other streams were 284,540 with "VolKno," 273,188 with "CLAP!," 264,225 with "THANK YOU," and 236,548 with "HOLD IT IN."

Overall, the total streams of TREASURE's "THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER TWO" hit 1,534,217- their second-biggest album debut streams on Spotify, breaking their previous record of 1,505,453 streams set by their first studio album "THE FIRST STEP: TREASURE EFFECT."
