'RE:VERSE': 30 Female K-pop Idols To Compete in Virtual Survival Show
Kakao Entertainment's virtual idol survival show is to be released on November 28. According to the entertainment company, the first episode of the program "RE:VERSE" will show the 30 female idol characters in the metaverse world named "W".

'RE:VERSE': Who Are the Possible Contenders?
All the participants will be hiding their identities for the show. It was planned like that so that the audience will focus on the talents and personalities of the idols. In the program, they will compete by performing on stage by singing and dancing.
Meanwhile, K-pop fans already have the list of possible contestants as the silhouettes of the idols were revealed through the program's social media accounts.

There are also names of idols fans are not entirely certain, like ILY:1's Ara and DreamNote's Miso. Also, AOA's very own maknae Chanmi might be on it, too.

Their identities will only be revealed after they are eliminated from the program.
Meanwhile, viewers can participate in the survival process by voting through Kakao's page.
More Details About 'RE:VERSE'
According to Naver, "RE:VERSE" is directed by Kakao TV Studio's Jo Wookhyung (creator of the first "Queendom" where MAMAMOO won) and Park Jinkyung, and Son Sujeong and Jo Jooyeon were in charge of directing.
The creators and directors said that people will be able to see how far K-pop content can go through the program. It will also show the talent of K-pop idols on the show even if they are merely avatars and virtual characters.
Kakao Entertainment also stated that winning idols who become part of the group will be releasing songs and interacting with their followers after the show.
Kakao Entertainment Reveals Contenders' Virtual Characters
"GIRL'S RE:VERSE" created its own YouTube channel where it posted all of the contestants' avatar characters in one video.
Fans are already excited about the show. Many even guess the contestants' identity through the virtual characters' voices.
After watching the video, people speculated that former IZ*ONE Eunbi, the LOONA members, former Pristin Nayoung, and many others are part of the contending lineup.
But because of this, some also expressed their worries that "RE:VERSE" might be another popularity contest as fans already know their favorites are gonna be on it. A comment highlighted this concern, saying:
"The voting system is really important. It is actually a matter of time before the idols are revealed, so I think it will be reduced to a popular vote for the existing fandom. The production team is probably aware of this, but I hope the program proceeds in a wise direction."
