Did you know that some idols have gone viral because of their tears? Whether due to heart-warming moments or sad times, these idols had no problem showing their vulnerable side. Here are six idols who became hot topics after crying.

1. BLACKPINK Jennie

In 2018, Jennie went viral following her appearance on "Running Man." She was paired with Lee Kwang Soo to enter a haunted house during the show. Jennie is known for being terrified of anything haunted or scary, so this was a massive challenge for her.

With monsters and ghosts popping up left and right, Jennie began crying hysterically. The idol looked like a baby as she wept, and Lee Kwang Soo scolded the staff for putting Jennie through the horror. Though she was crying, the viewers couldn't help but fawn over how adorable she was!

Sadly, Jennie failed her mission. When she met up with the other "Running Man" casts, she cutely scolded them for lying about the haunted house not being scary.

2. TWICE Mina

In 2017, TWICE won the Daesang and Bonsang at the Golden Disc Awards. While they remained composed while accepting the Bonsang, they could not help but get emotional after winning the Daesang. Though they tried to keep their composure, the members were seen shedding tears.

As Mina gazed at the cheering crowd, she could not help but grin as she shed tears. The idol covered her mouth, and when she blinked, her tears rolled down her cheek. She looked so elegant that fans dubbed the moment "Diamond tears!"

3. BTS Jungkook

During a 2017 concert, Jungkook was crying on stage as he gave his comments. The idol was crying like a baby, sniffling, and wiping his tears. It was emotional until an ARMY in the crowd shouted that he looked handsome.

Though he was still crying, he told the ARMY, "Thank you." The moment sparked laughter among concert-goers, and even Jimin could not help but react to the iconic moment.

4. Red Velvet Joy

In May 2021, Joy held a countdown live stream for her solo debut. During the live stream, Joy read letters from fans that the staff had gathered. As she read the heartfelt messages from ReveLuvs, the idol could not help but shed tears.

Despite crying, Joy decided to read a comment from a viewer who asked her to eat the watermelon in front of her. Though she was still crying, Joy heeded their request and took a bite from the watermelon. While crying, she said watermelon was delicious and made her feel better.

5. ASTRO Cha Eun Woo

During an episode of "Master in the House," ASTRO member Cha Eun Woo shed tears for the most heart-warming scene. During an episode, the show invited celebrity guests to discuss successful marriages.

Cha Eun Woo then confessed that he wanted to get married and meet someone he could share his embarrassing sides with. As he talked about his dreams of having a family, tears started to well in his eyes. He explained that besides the romance, he wants to find someone he can connect with and share everything with.

The idol soon burst into tears, lamenting that he has yet to find someone with whom he can put down his walls.

6. TWICE Tzuyu

In 2016, Tzuyu and Jeongyeon appeared in "Please Take Care of My Refrigerator." During the episode, one of the chefs made delicious Chinese wraps for the cast and guests. Tzuyu, who hails from Taiwan, stated that it reminded her of the food she when she was young with her family.

Jeongyeon added that Tzuyu kept saying that the food reminded her of her mom. At this, the MC replied that eating food seems to remind Tzuyu of her family. The female idol soon burst into tears, which shocked many. Jeongyeon stated that it was the first Tzuyu had cried on a broadcast.
