5 K-pop Songs With Swear Words

While K-pop tends to stick to clean lyrics, some groups have not been afraid to get more explicit. While still not common, cuss words in songs have become more frequent with each passing year. Here are five K-pop songs with swear words.

1. TXT - 'LO$ER=LOVER'


"LO$ER=LOVER" is the lead single of TXT's repackaged album, "The Chaos Chapter: Fight or Escape," which was released on August 17. The song focuses on a boy who may look like a loser in society's eyes but wants to be a lover to the special you.

There is one swear word in "LOSER=LOVER," and it can be found in the pre-chorus. In the first pre-chorus, Beomgyu sings, "If I can't have it, I f**kin' keep it low." In the second pre-chorus, Soobin sings, "Refuse, then I f**kin' take it all."

2. (G)I-DLE - 'TOMBOY'


(G)I-DLE released "TOMBOY" as the lead single of their first studio album, "I Never Die." The single was released on March 14, 2022. The song talks about independence and breaking out of the "perfect girlfriend" mold.

While (G)I-DLE promotes the clean version of the song, there is actually an uncensored version of the track. In the chorus, the girls sing, "Yeah, I'm f*cking tomboy." In the version used for promotions, the swear word is censored with a bleep.

3. LE SSERAFIM - 'FEARLESS'


LE SSERAFIM made their debut on May 2, 2022, with the mini-album "Fearless" and a lead single of the same name. "FEARLESS," tells the story of moving forwards without being hindered by the past.

In Kazuha's first rap, she raps, "I'm fearless, a new b*itch, go crazy, climbing up, next one." The curse word is not censored, and she actually raps the cuss during performances!

4. BLACKPINK - 'How You Like That'


"How You Like That" was released as the pre-release single for BLACKPINK's first studio album, "The Album." The single was released on June 26, 2020. Lyrically, "How You Like That" is about not being afraid of dark situations, maintaining your confidence, and finding the strength to stand again.

During the bridge leading up to the dance break, Jennie is heard rapping, "Bring out your boss b*tch." Jennie raps the curse word during BLACKPINK's performances.

5. (G)I-DLE Jeon Soyeon - 'is this bad b****** number?'


"is this bad b****** number?" is a b-sidetrack from Jeon Soyeon's debut mini-album, "Windy," and was released on July 5, 2021. The song features BIBI and rapper Lee Youngji. "is this bad b****** number?" shows the chemistry of Generation Z.

Though the swear word in the title is censored, the girls do not hold back in swearing in the song. Both Soyeon and Lee Youngji's parts include a variety of curse words, showing off their unapologetic, girl crush images.
