Stray Kids Bang Chan Is the New ‘Asiansoul’? Here's Why STAYs Think So

Stray Kids, the K-pop group behind the chart-buster mini album MAXIDENT, joined Sunmi in Showterview Episode 14.

In this episode released on October 20, members Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N, tickled the funny bones of STAYs as they leveled up the standard on comedy and entertainment.

However, while playing a mafia game, Stray Kids' leader, Bang Chan, claims he is JYP. Here's why STAYs think so, too.

Bang Chan To Replace JYP as 'Asiansoul'?

The staff members of the show prepared a challenge for Stray Kids - a mafia game. Spicing the game with a twist, if the civilians, Stray Kids, will catch the mafia, the group will be given a chance to promote their album, MAXIDENT, by performing "CASE 143" in the show.

Additional characters were added to the line-up of the game, with the doctor named "Cho Junghan" and the police as "Park Jin-young."

Stray Kids' sunbaenim, Sunmi assigned the roles to the members. Among the members, Stray Kids' leader, Bang Chan, lived the moment of his life as he was selected to play the police, or as Park Jin-young, a.k.a the "Asiansoul."

Interestingly, the members were more immersed in hunting who is JYP in the game instead of chasing the mafias.

Upon concluding the game and revealing the members' roles, Seungmin commented that Bang Chan "resembles JYP," hence, suiting the role. Then, proving that he can slay the 'Asiansoul' title, he teased the members and STAYs through singing one of JYP's hit songs, Don't Leave Me.

Upon watching Chan's impersonation of JYP, fans could not help but link his wide range of talent to his extensive immersion in the music industry - may it be in the performance aspect or music production facet.

Indeed, JYP Entertainment is one of the homes of diverse and talented artists, with Bang Chan and JYP to complete the list.

Stray Kids As Your All-rounder Entertainers

Supplementing the energy and hype in the episode, Stray Kids was tasked to debate about something, which you will find out if you watch the full episode here.

STAYs deem that this is, so far, Stray Kids' funniest variety show appearance as they showcase not just their dancing abilities but their capacity to redefine the criteria for humor and entertainment.

Here are some of the STAYs comments on Stray Kids' guesting on Showterview:

"Seungmin definitely went madman mode with the debate here."

"Let's be honest they're making everyone's day better."

"I can't believe we were given such hilarious debate scenarios, and their reactions were worth watching!"

"Please, the debate section is so chaotic."

"Seungmin needs to be on variety show !!!"
