AKMU Lee Chanhyuk Gives Peculiar Interview and Performance on Music Show

Recently, the one-half of sibling duo AKMU, also known as Akdong Musican, Lee Chanhyuk made an appearance on the October 20 broadcast of Mnet's music show M Countdown. Here, Lee Chanhyuk came to promote his new solo debut album "Error" and its lead single "Panorama," which was released back on October 17.

While promoting on music shows is nothing out of the ordinary, Lee Chanhyuk drew attention on social media for his rather peculiar interview with the show's hosts, (G)I-DLE Miyeon and Nam Yoon Su.

In particular, Lee Chanhyuk attended his interview with the two hosts while wearing a hooded cloak, shades, and a mask with the name of his album "Error" written on it.

Miyeon had introduced the AKMU member by saying, "We call this person a genius artist. We are here with Lee Chanhyuk. Welcome."

While idols would normally greet the hosts and the viewers, Lee Chanhyuk made everyone puzzled when he stayed silent and did not respond whatsoever. When he was asked how he felt about his solo debut, he only continued to stare at the camera while doing nothing and remained silent despite holding a microphone.

In addition to his odd interview, Lee Chanhyuk also presented a unique performance of his new single "Panorama." During the October 20 broadcast of M Countdown, Lee Chanhyuk performed his new song while having his back facing the camera. In fact, he did not once turn or show his face during his entire performance.

Following the broadcast, and with Lee Chanhyuk's music show appearance going viral across social media, netizens are now discussing the AKMU member's behavior that is drawing mixed reactions.

While many have praised Lee Chanhyuk for thinking outside the box, with some even calling him a "genius artist" for his unconventional ways, many argued that his actions appear to be rude and disrespectful.
