BTS Jin's 'The Astronaut' Scores THIS Recognition on Spotify

Upon the global release of BTS Jin's solo song entitled 'The Astronaut,' it has scored simultaneous success on all music platforms. But, more importantly, the song bagged THIS milestone on Spotify.

BTS Jin's 'The Astronaut' Reached THIS Spotify Milestone

Compared to other K-pop solo song debuts, 'The Astronaut' is significantly longer as it records almost five minutes of length. However, this did not stop the fans from streaming the song on Spotify.

Upon reaching 5.63 million streams in its first 24 hours on Spotify, the BTS vocalist earned the biggest unfiltered K-pop solo song debut record in Spotify history!

BTS Jin's 'The Astronaut' dethroned 'Stay Alive' by Jungkook and Prod. SUGA that recorded 5.62 million streams. Currently, the top three songs of the biggest first-day debut streams for a solo K-pop act are owned by BTS members, as 'Stay Alive' is followed by 'MORE' by j-hope with 5.42 million streams.

Consequently, the remaining two spots on this Spotify milestone are occupied by 'On the Ground' by BLACKPINK Rosé with 4.64 million streams and 'Lalisa' by BLACKPINK Lisa with 4.56 million streams.

On the other hand, 'The Astronaut' scored the second biggest debut for a K-pop solo song in Spotify's Global history as it recorded 4.14 million streams. 'The Astronaut' is behind 'Stay Alive' while completing the triumvirate is j-hope's 'MORE.'

In a tweet on the same day of its release, Jin holds the record of the first Korean soloist to enter the Top 100 of Spotify Daily Artists Chart as he debuts at the peak position of #73!

Proving his worldwide impact, the Worldwide Handsome competes with Taylor Swift's latest album, Midnight, on the Global Spotify Chart as he scored #17. In addition, bagging the #54 position on Spotify USA, #158 in Spotify UK, #3 in Spotify Korea, and #57 on Spotify Japan supplements why Jin earned the Spotify milestone.

Alongside, 'The Astronaut' is also a strong competitor on iTunes as it reached straight #5 on the iTunes USA chart in just 1 hour and 20 minutes. With over 4k points, 'The Astronaut' is the fastest K-pop song to chart, which exceeded Rihanna and Taylor Swift.
