Stray Kids to Meet STAYs in THESE Cities for 'MANIAC' Encore - Why Are Some Fans Disappointed?

Following their first world tour, 'District 9: Unlock' in 2019 to 2020, the second world tour of JYP Entertainment's stalwart boy group gained hails from the public.

As Stray Kids cemented a reputation of being one of the most prominent and powerful fourth-generation boy groups, the fans have set high standards for this world tour, not only in the aspect of stage performances but also in terms of country stops.

However, JYP Entertainment's announcement that the 'MANIAC' World Tour shall conclude in Tokyo (February 11 to 12, 2023), Osaka (February 25 to 26, 2023), and Los Angeles, California (March 31, 2023) led some STAYs to express diverse reactions on social media.

The encore stops received several backfires as some STAYs think that the concert destinations are exclusive. Since the announcement of the world tour in early 2022, several European and Latin STAYs were looking forward that Stray Kids might include them in the tour.

Stray Kids is not the only artist who received criticism because of "world tours" that are often selective to cover Asian and North American cities only.

Upon knowing this announcement, here are some of international STAY's comments:

"JYP never notices how much effort these stays put, Mexico is one of the countries with most streams and he always ignores that?"

"why are they already showing encore stages WHAT HAPPENED TO EUROPE? WHAT HAPPENED TO UK? WHAT???"

"Tbh it's a little bit sad that even Europe didn't had dates for the tour, im from latam but I did had hope that they would go to Europe at least. Anyways let's just wait for next year"

European fans are the most vocal on social media as they have scored a record of the 'notoriously absent in many K-pop world tours.' Additionally, European STAYs could not help but express disappointment as they also want to witness Stray Kids hit the stage in their hometown.

STAYs' Optimism in the Sea of Criticisms

However, some STAYs remained optimistic with this announcement as they congratulated the 'CASE 143' singers on the final tour. Some STAYs shared the seating capacity of the concert locations, and thus cannot help but reminisce about the boys' growth as artists. From aspirant K-pop idols who competed in the 'Stray Kids' reality show to world-class idols who are set to go down in music history.

As the boys were seen to manually climb the stairs to stardom, STAYs mentioned that Stray Kids deserve nothing but the prominence that they are experiencing right now.

Alongside, 'God's Menu' hitmakers will also hold their two-night concert in Manila, Philippines at Mall of Asia Arena in March 2023. The details about the ticket prices and selling dates will be announced soon, according to the concert organizer.

Stray Kids was supposed to visit the Philippines in April 2020, but the concert was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic
