SNSD Taeyeon Confirms She's Preparing For Solo Concert After About 3 Years

On November 8, the 2022 Genie Music Awards (GMAs) was held at Namdong Gymnasium in Incheon, South Korea.

During the ceremony, Taeyeon who attended the event once again proved her status as Korea's historical figure and one of the best soloists for bagging a new trophy.

At this year's GMAs, the singer who successfully released her third studio album "INVU" in February 2022, snagged the trophy for "Best Solo Female Artist."

Earlier, Taeyeon confirmed her unrivaled status once again by recording eight music broadcasts win with her third full-length album "INVU."

During her acceptance speech, fans were stunned by her presence and SONEs rejoiced even more after Taeyeon broke the news about her upcoming solo concert.

"I'm really grateful to my beloved fans. I'll have a concert soon, so please wait for me."

In response, fans expressed their excitement, saying:

Fans' expectation from the concert is high since this will be the first time that the "Can't Control Myself" singer will be having an offline solo concert since she held the "TAEYEON Concert - The UNSEEN" at SK Handball Stadium in Seoul Olympic Park on January 17-19th, 2020. Since then, all performances have been canceled due to COVID-19, and it has been about three years since she last met fans as a soloist.

Meanwhile, amid fans' anticipation, Taeyeon's name was suddenly mentioned regarding speculation of SM Entertainment rigging the results of the Genie Music Awards. In context, there are K-pop fans who raised brows after NCT 127 won the Daesang (Grand Prize) with "Sticker" this year.

While discussing this controversy, people speculated that SM actually started manipulating the awards in 2019, wherein Taeyeon won the digital Daesang. Initially, there is only a physical daesang, but it was added only in that year and was erased in the succeeding years.

In other news, Taeyeon who attended the 2022 GMA didn't only become a hot topic for winning the trophy, but her look during the event also caused a ruckus.

At the event, she wore a bold cut-out outfit that showcased her unreal body proportion. Fans particularly love the back details of the dress, where it exposes her flawless bareback, emphasizing her ant waist as well. Her unrelenting visuals also earned praise, which is comparable to fourth-gen idols.

Meanwhile, Girls' Generation, which includes Taeyeon, released its seventh full-length album "Forever 1" in August.
