Oh My Girl YooA Reveals Downside of Having Small Face on 'Showterview with Sunmi'

On Nov. 10, Oh My Girl YooA appeared as a guest on "Showterview with Sunmi" and talked about her first comeback album "SELFISH," the news about her, and more.

During the talk, Sunmi asked YooA about the setting of "SELFISH," since her debut EP, "Bon Voyage," and the title track of the same took place in the forest.

The Oh My Girl member replied, "Not in the forest, [it] moved to the city." She added, "But as to keep the previous concept, I tried to include it into another track. From Forest Girl to Ocean Girl."

She explained, "This time, I became a figure who lures people, living in the ocean, which are sirens. At first, I was supposed to film a music video only for the title song. But as the staff in the agency listened to this song, they decided to make a music video of it too."

Later on, Oh My Girl YooA touched on her new title song "Selfish." "When you're in love, you can feel various kinds of emotions," she said. "Basically, this song expresses the feelings you would feel loving someone. That's how it's themed for a girl in the city."

Moving on to the next part of "Showterview with Sunmi," Sunmi and YooA talked about the latter's news stories.

During that segment, the two read the title of multiple articles one by one, and the Oh My Girl member explained what that is about. One of the articles was titled, "YooA, with a smaller face than a smartphone."

To verify if her face really is smaller than a smartphone, the "Showterview" staff brought out some plates of different sizes, a mug, and a smartphone. Sunmi then compared the sizes of these things to YooA's face and each one of them covered her eyebrows, eyes, nose, and lips, shocking the host.

After confirming that Oh My Girl YooA is a K-pop idol with a small face, Sunmi asked, "Is there a downside to having a small face?"

The "Bon Voyage" singer shared, "I used to have a hard time finding hats that fit me. So, I had to put a pin on it." She added, "And when I wear a headset..." before she could finish her sentence, Sunmi chimed in, "Too big for you?"

YooA nodded in response and explained, "They are too big for me, so they don't look good on me."

The "Showterview" host then commented that it must be hard for her when recording a song, since a headset is needed for that.

The Oh My Girl member responded, "I tighten it up as possible and hold it like this. It will be taken off if I slightly move one side." Hearing that, Sunmi expressed her jealousy.

Oh My Girl YooA to Drop First Comeback Album "SELFISH"

In other news, Oh My Girl YooA will make her first-ever solo comeback with a new mini-album titled "SELFISH." The EP is due on Nov. 14 at 6 p.m. KST.

Prior to the album's release, YooA dropped a pre-release track called "Lay Low," which is one of the B-side songs in the album.
