OMEGA X Taedong's Sister Reveals Abuse Idol Suffered at His Former Agency 2Y Entertainment

On Nov. 16, OMEGA X held a press conference to discuss the abuse they experienced from Spire Entertainment's CEO, Kang Seong Hee. Aside from that, some of the members also touched on the previous mistreatment they had to endure at their old companies.

Taedong, in particular, revealed that his previous label, 2Y Entertainment, mistreated artists and didn't give them personal freedom.

He said, "I know not every agency is like this, but I think a lot of K-pop trainees and even current idols are being treated unfairly. In my previous agency, I practiced 15 to 17 hours a day without a single day off. They confiscated my phone and forced me to share my passwords."

Following the press conference, OMEGA X Taedong's sister revealed the true extent of abuse that the idol suffered at 2Y Entertainment on her Instagram story.

She wrote:

"What Taedong couldn't say, due to crying, is that while he was under 2Y [Entertainment], his cellphone was forcefully taken away and so he couldn't keep in touch with his family members. In addition to changing his phone number several times, they would figure out his password and check his phone. Without a day of rest, the kids would be forced to practice for 15 to 17 hours a day."

She also shared about the time their grandfather passed away and Taedong couldn't see him. She even called out the former CEO of 2Y for his cruelty.

"Even when our grandfather passed away, we couldn't reach [Taedong] so I directly messaged him through his old Instagram account. Taedong belatedly found out [of his death] and he couldn't even stay by his side and could only send his condolences. I am extremely angry that the CEO of 2Y Entertainment, who slapped and verbally abused [Taedong], is so quiet right now," she detailed.

This isn't the first time OMEGA X Taedong's sister spoke up about the hardships her brother has gone through.

When the news about Spire Entertainment's former CEO abusing the members first came out, Taedong's sister shared that she had read comments on articles about the topic and was shocked at how mean netizens were, as some referred to the situation as "noise marketing."

She stated, "I was reading the comments in the article, and I'm at a loss for words. LOL. It is so mean. How is this noise marketing? And how is this justifiable because they aren't popular? I kept trying to ignore it, but it's making me so mad I couldn't hold it in anymore."
