7 Times K-pop Idols Took Their Airport Fashion to the Next Level: NCT Dream, G-Dragon, More [Updated 2023]

K-pop idols always stun fans with their iconic fashion choices. Many of them are event trendsetters. But, idols don't only showcase how fashionable they are on stage, but also at the airport.

Most of the time, the celebrities make sure to dress up stylishly, as fans and the media alike take lots of pictures and videos of them. But then, there are others who seem to be in a rush that they don't care enough about fashion, or maybe they just really prefer comfortable clothes rather than fashionable ones.

There are also some who make people laugh, as their unexpected airport fashion was a punishment for losing a bet or a game.

Here are seven memorable airport fashion of K-pop idols you might not know about.

7 Times K-pop Idols Took Their Airport Fashion to the Next Level: NCT Dream, G-Dragon, More

1. NCT Dream

The case of NCT Dream is just recent. The boy group was scheduled for departure to Japan on Nov. 21 and all seven members were all wearing matchy neon green tracksuits paired with a white bucket hat, a white face mask, and white sneakers.

The matching outfits was an idea suggested by member Jeno to confuse fans. Everyone seemed to have agreed with it since they all showed up at the airport with similar outfits.

What's funnier is that the NCT Dream members were so dedicated to making their identities mysterious that they let their managers be the one to carry their bags for them. This was to remove any identifiers since the members own different bags. The boys sure brought laughters to fans.

2. BIGBANG G-Dragon

BIGBANG G-Dragon often makes headlines for his airport fashion. He holds the "Fashion King" title after all. While he often impresses the public with how he looks, he sometimes causes people to be lost for words because of his "awkward" outfit.

One example of the latter is when he was wearing a pink muscle tee and a pair of black shorts that exposed his thighs. He completed the look by wearing a black scarf with some shades of yellow and a black beanie. It was this time when G-Dragon appeared to have woken up late and just wore the first thing he saw.

3. BTOB Changsub

If you're a Melody (BTOB fandom), you're probably aware that Changsub once became a hot topic for his airport fashion.

Back in 2019, the K-pop idol had to wear a Tin Woodsman costume because he lost a game and that was the punishment. Actually, he created that game as well as the punishment, which made the situation even funnier.

4. INFINITE Sungyeol

The case of INFINITE Sungyeol is similar to BTOB Changsub. In July 2012, Sungyeol had to show up at the airport wearing a bathrobe because he lost a bet. He still made himself look cool though, by wearing sunglasses.

5. Super Junior Siwon

Super Junior Siwon is one of the K-pop idols who once chose comfort over style. One time, he was only wearing oversized pants, a plain t-shirt, and flip flops when he arrived at the airport. Well, he appears to be happy about it, since he was smiling in the photo.

6. BIGBANG TOP

Aside from G-Dragon, his fellow BIGBANG member TOP also has multiple memorable airport fashion. One of them is when he seemed a bit confused about the weather, wearing ear muffs along with sunglasses. Well, at least his long coat made him look more stylish.

7. Super Junior Heechul

Capping off our list is Super Junior Heechul who once sported a colorful, conflicted ensemble. He was wearing a printed T-shirt featuring an anime girl and black dotted pants. He also had a big orange headband at that time, as well as a colorful pair of sneakers.
