WEi Car Crash Update: Donghan, Seokhwa's Condition After Shocking Accident Revealed

WEi members Donghan and Seokhwa worried fans after the two got involved in a car crash.

After having its Japanese debut this year, WEi returned with their fifth album, "Love Pt. 2: Passion." But amid the promotion, two members faced an accident.

WEi Car Accident: Status of Donghan, Seokhwa Revealed

Through the official Twitter account of WEi, its agency OUI Entertainment confirmed that the two members got into a minor car accident while on their way to their scheduled activities.

A day after the incident, the company released a new statement saying that both Donghan and Seokhwa had been taken to a medical facility where they underwent a health examination.

Donghan complained of pain in his knees and back while feeling general muscle pain. Seokhwa, on the other hand, said he felt something painful in his pelvis.

Both of them have since received prescribed medication and were scheduled to undergo physical therapy to ensure continuous recovery.

While receiving the treatment, Donghan and Seokhwa would need to follow their doctor's orders and take rest for now. With that, OUI Entertainment is yet to finalize its schedule. The company seeks fans' understanding as it works on the group's upcoming shows with Donghan and Seokhwa.

The new update was released following the car crash on November 24.

OUI Entertainment detailed that the vehicle Donghan and Seokhwa rode on got into a minor collision while the K-pop idols were on their way to scheduled activities. Aside from the WEi members, there were also staff riding in the same car, and all of them underwent checkups and treatment.

As a result of the accident, the agency decided to postpone the group's activities from Thursday to Sunday.

"We have decided to postpone all scheduled activities from November 24 (Thursday) to 27 (Sunday) including the fan signing event for WEi's fifth mini album "Love Pt. 2 : Passion. We ask for the generous understanding of fans as this is a decision made for the speedy recovery of the artists. The scheduled activities after that will be carried out depending on the artists' recovery," it went on.

OUI Entertainment also pledged to do its best to assist them amid their recovery.

Meet K-pop Group WEi

WEi debuted on Oct. 5, 2020, under OUI Entertainment. It marked its debut project with the EP, "Identity: First Sight."

The group is composed of "Produce 101 Season 2" contestants Daehyeon and Donghan, former YG Entertainment trainee Seokhwa, "Under Nineteen" Yongha and Junseo, and the agency's trainee Yohan.

Since its debut, WEi has already released several EPs, including "Identity: First Sight," "Identity: Challenge," "Identity: Action," "Love Pt. 1: First Love," "Youth," and the latest "Love Pt. 2: Passion."
