BLACKPINK member Lisa outshined international artists following her solo debut, including Adele.

Amid BLACKPINK's huge fame, its members also continue to expand their careers by debuting as solo artists. For Lisa's part, she dominated the world's music scene when she released her single album, "LALISA," in September 2021.

The album broke several records, and it recently surpassed another world record which was previously held by Adele.

BLACKPINK Lisa Beats Adele With "LALISA"

In November 2022, BLACKPINK Lisa set a new world record as her "LALISA" scored the top spot on the Kyrgyzstan iTunes chart. The milestone instantly made the song rank in 103 different countries on iTunes.

With that said, the "MONEY" hitmaker set a new record and beat the record Adele made seven years ago with her hit songs, "Hello" and "Easy On Me." It is worth noting that the two tracks topped the iTunes charts in a total of 102 different countries.

Several international news outlets applauded Lisa over the new recognition, saying that she had already reached the feat no K-pop soloist had ever experienced yet.

Although the new milestone surprised everyone, "LALISA" actually broke several records already since its release.

It debuted at No. 1 on Gaon Album Chart, instantly becoming the best-selling album by a female soloist in the chart's history. After selling over 700,000 copies, she set a new record for having the highest first-week sales among K-pop female soloists.

In November 2021, the Korea Music Content Association certified it double platinum for selling 500,000 copies globally.

Other awards "LALISA" scored include the Top 20 Albums of the Year at the Asian Pop Music Awards, the Initial Chodong Record Award at the Hanteo Music Awards, and the Best Producer of the Year at the Mnet Asian Music Awards.

BLACKPINK Lisa Shows Dominance At the 2022 MTV Europe Music Awards

Before the recent milestone, Lisa reached another victory when she won the Best K-pop at the recently wrapped up 2022 MTV Europe Music Awards.

MTV held its annual ceremony in Düsseldorf, Germany, and gave BLACKPINK, BTS, and TXT, - among others - several awards.

"I'm so honored to have won the EMA for Best K-pop this year. Your support for 'LALISA' and our [BLACKPINK] new album means so much to me. Enjoy the rest of the night and [I] hope to see you at one of our shows on the 'Born Pink' tour," she went on.

The "Born Pink World Tour" marks the girl group's second worldwide concert tour. BLACKPINK started the show's leg following the release of its second Korean studio album "Born Pink."

Her group, meanwhile, brought home the award for Best Metaverse Performance for their PUBG Mobile in-game concert, "The Virtual."
