Blue Dragon Film Awards 2022 Reveals Lineup of Performers

On Nov. 25, the 43rd Blue Dragon Film Awards will be held at KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul in South Korea. Korean media outlet Sports Chosun will organize the event, which will air live on KBS2.

The awards ceremony, hosted by Kim Hye Soo and Yoo Yeon Seok, will celebrate some of the best films, best actors or actresses, best directors, and more of 2022.

According to local news outlet SPOTV News, several Korean artists will appear at the Blue Dragon Film Awards 2022 to take the stage and present special stages to decorate the event.

Those artists are Zico, the four-member male crossover vocal group La Poem, and the leading rookie girl groups IVE and NewJeans.

This past April, producer and singer Zico was officially discharged from his mandatory military service. He returned to the entertainment scene right after that. He produced an original soundtrack, titled 'New Thing," for Mnet's dance competition show "Street Man Fighter."

Zico also made a solo comeback with his fourth EP, "Grown Ass Kid," which features the title song "Freak." He even performed at multiple festivals such as the SUMMER SONIC 2022 festival in Japan and the Hip-Hop Playa Festival 2022.

Made up of four classically-trained singers, La Poem is best known as the winner of the third season of the JTBC competition TV show "Phantom Singer." One of their popular releases is the "Vincenzo" OST Part 4 titled "Lacrimosa."

Moreover, the quartet is a featured artist in "Answer: Ode to Joy," one of the B-side songs from ATEEZ's "ZERO: FEVER EPILOGUE."

Starship Entertainment's new girl group, IVE, has become more and more popular with every album they release. In fact, their latest album, "After LIKE," sold more than 900,000 copies on the Hanteo Chart in just the first week of its release. It even achieved one million sales in South Korea alone.

Other than that, their newest song "After LIKE" earned them a total of 14 trophies on different music shows in South Korea. As of Nov. 20, it is the 2022 K-pop song with the most music show wins.

Finally, NewJeans, who captured the world's attention immediately after their debut in July, has achieved a lot despite them being in the music industry for less than six months. One example is that they had already signed endorsement deals with five unique brands, such as SK Telecom, Musinsa, Shinhan Bank, MEGASTUDY, and Pinkfong.

What's more, they have received more than 100 love calls from different brands wanting to collaborate with them.

IVE & NewJeans to Present Special Stages at Melon Music Awards 2022

In other news, it was reported that IVE and NewJeans are among the artists who will present special performances at Melon Music Awards 2022, which will be held on Nov. 26 at 6 p.m. KST at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul.
