The dating rumor involving NCT Sungchan and the SM female trainee just started to spread this year, particularly early this year.

On Jan. 7, a post titled "Huh Is Sungchan's Dating Rumors For Real?" was created on the online forum Nate Pann. It featured a photo of two people who were claimed to be Sungchan and the trainee.

The post, however, has since been deleted. Still, the picture is available on the internet, as it spread right after it was uploaded. The photo is said to have been captured during their trainee days.

As soon as the image was shared, netizens debated on whether or not the man is really Sungchan and if they were really dating that time.

Some netizens doubt that it's the NCT member's dating photo because the faces of the two people aren't seen. The image was taken from behind the two after all. Also, they believe that they could be just friends.

On the contrary, others claimed that it is really a picture of NCT Sungchan and the SM female trainee on a date. There were also netizens who took note that if they were just friends, they wouldn't be too close to each other while walking.

Meanwhile, other netizens said that there's nothing wrong if they really dated each other, plus it's all in the past now.

So, who is that SM female trainee that was rumored to be dating NCT Sungchan. Well, according to the Nate Pann post, her name is Ara who was born in 2003 and was "supposed" to debut as a member of aespa. Unfortunately, there aren't any pictures of her online.

Despite NCT Sungchan being embroiled in a dating rumor with the trainee, SM Entertainment didn't release an official statement to explain the photo. Hence, it remains uncertain whether the two people in the image are really NCT Sungchan and an SM female trainee.

Also, Sungchan himself didn't respond to the rumors. The discussion about the two eventually came to an end.

NCT Sungchan's Current Relationship Status & Ideal Type

After he was linked to an SM female trainee, NCT Sungchan has not been rumored to be dating someone. There are also no reports about him seeing someone with romantic feelings. Hence, our only conclusion is that Sungchan might still be single.

Concerning his ideal type, Sungchan prefers a girl who will match well with him. Well, who would want a partner who you wouldn't get along with in everything, right?
