On December 16, the 2022 KBS Gayo Daechukje commenced its annual K-pop music festival!

Here are the events that transpired.

The 2022 KBS Gayo Daechukje Commences, Showcasing K-pop Performances

KBS Gayo Daechukje 2022 will have 'Y2K' as theme. The event began in the infamous red carpet, where 4^th generation artists graced with their presence. Every artist posed for pictures to be taken, as well as answer interview questions.

The K-pop groups who walked and interviewed in stage were NewJeans, LE SSERAFIM, NMIXX, StayC, ENHYPEN, Kep1er, TXT, aespa, ONEUS, (G)I-DLE, ITZY, ATEEZ, Stray Kids, FORESTELLA, fromis_9, THE BOYZ, Koyote, and IVE.

3rd generation groups also joined in, which includes PENTAGON, NCT Dream, NCT 127,

They were also joined by soloists Choi Yena and Kim Woo Seok.

Lastly, the hosts for the event were introduced. The ones handling the event are Kim Shinyoung, IVE Jang Wonyoung, and actor Na In Woo.

K-pop Artists Perform On The Stage For 2022 KBS Gayo Daechukje

This year's music festival is full of amazing NMIXX took on the stage with their performance of 'DICE' and 'O.O'

Next up was Kim Woo Seok, who performed 'Switch'

Kep1er also placed more energy in the stage, through a performance of 'Wa Da Da,' the rookie monster's debut song. In the middle of the performance, they also featured a surprising dance break.

Following Kep1er, ONEUS stormed the stage and performed 'Same Scent,' where the group thrilled audiences with their dance intro, feathery props, and dance break in the middle of the performance. The boy group dazzled audiences with their rendition of the song, incorporating oriental instruments on the background.

Audiences were also gifted with a special stage from joint performance group AKIZ, consisting of NewJeans Hyein & Minji, IVE Leeseo, LE SSERAFIM Eunchae, and NMIXX Sullyoon. They performed 'Love Like Oxygen' by SHINee.

Soloist Choi Yena performed her debut song 'Smiley,' adding a dance break in the middle of the performance, highlighting her adorable performance and fun personality.

Shortly after, ONEUS members Seoho, Leedo and Hwanyoong covered Justin Timerlake's "Sexy Back"

Meanwhile, The Boyz Juyeon went solo on the stage with a sharp dance number. He performed "No Diggity" by Blackstreet.

STAYC performed RUN2U, featuring a retro feel and 8-bit music.

Pentagon also set the stage on fire with "Feelin Like," as the grooved to its slick beat.

NewJeans debuted with a Y2K concept, and it fits them entirely on the show. The girl group proceeded on a dance intro, followed by their "Attention" performance. Afterwards, NewJeans made fans go crazy with their hit song "Hype Boy"

The program ended its first part of the event, after NewJeans' performance. With the second segment nearing, fans couldn't get any more excited.

The festival's 2nd half kick started with vocal group FORESTELLA, where they performed Bad Romance by Lady Gaga. Their performance amazed audiences, due to their rendition, orchestral format, and voice layers. 

LE SSERAFIM performed their intro with an airport concept. 'FEARLESS' and 'ANTRIFRAGILE' were the songs chosen for their stages.

ENHYPEN performed 'Blessed Cursed' and 'Paradoxx Invasion'

Girl group fromis_9 went for a holiday themed stage, performing 'Stay This Way'

ATEEZ performed 'Guerilla' on stage, electrifying fans in the venue.

Afterwards, joint performance group Y2K girls consisting of STAYC Yoon, (G)I-DLE Yuqi, and IVE LIZ performed 'After Breaking Up.' The song was rock themed, giving their low range voices an opportunity to shine.

aespa performed Girls for this year's music festival.

ATEEZ performed 'T.O.P.' on the event.

LE SSERAFIM gave a special stage, performing 'Hope' by H.O.T.

THE BOYZ performed WHISPER, adding a relay dance near the song's climax, and a thrilling dance segment after the song.

NCT Dream chose 'Glitch Mode' as their performance in the festival.

The boy group also performed 'Candy' by H.O.T. The performance brought out a lighter concept compared to 'Glitch Mode', making it perfect for Christmas.

NCT Dream's performance concluded the part 2 of 2022 Gayo Daechukje.

The third and final part of the show was kickstarted by ITZY, performing 'CHESHIRE' and 'SNEAKERS' with a spy-themed stage.

IVE stormed the stage with a retro version of 'Love Dive' and their hit song 'After Like.'

TXT performed 'Good Boy Gone Bad' with an amazing opening sequence.

(G)I-DLE rocked the stage with 'Nxde' and 'Tomboy.'

In the middle of the third segment, fans were gifted a JYP family performance. Stray Kids Hyunjin, Han, Felix performed 'If I had to say'

ITZY Ryujin and Chaeryoung went duo, with 'Caution'

NMIXX Jiwoo and Kyujin gave their best for "You In My Blurred Memories," a hip-hop song. In its climax, all JYP idols gathered to perform. Check out the performances below!

Stray Kids then performed 'CASE 143' and 'MANIAC'
