Top 15 Best-Selling Male Artists on Circle Chart in 2022: BTS, Stray Kids, More
Circle (Gaon) Chart has released its annual album sales report, which shows the performances of Korean artists in terms of album sales this 2022. In their report, Circle Chart revealed the top 15 best-selling male artists, which included top-tier acts like BTS, Stray Kids, SEVENTEEN, and more. Circle (Gaon) Year-End Chart: Best-Selling Male Artists in South Korea in 2022 (Top 1-2)
According to the Circle (Gaon)Chart's year-end album sales report, the No. 1 best-selling male artist in South Korea in 2022 is none other than the seven-member global boy group BTS. The septet remarkably recorded 6,078,249 album sales.
More than half of that sales figure belongs to BTS's anthology album "Proof," which has sold more than 3.5 million copies as of the week of Dec. 4 to 10. In the said tracking week, the record reclaimed No. 1 with 163,723 copies sold, marking its third non-consecutive week atop the chart.

On Aug. 11, "Proof" earned a triple million certification for selling over three million copies, becoming the group's fifth project to do so. BTS remains as the only artist to have multiple albums that receive the said certification.
The second best-selling male artist on Circle Chart this 2022 is the "CASE 143" singers, Stray Kids, which had 5,837,407 album sales.
The octet dropped their sixth mini-album "ODDINARY" in March and their seventh EP "MAXIDENT" in October. Within the first month of their release, "ODDINARY" sold over 1.5 million copies on the Circle Chart, while "MAXIDENT" surpassed 2.16 million copies.
Circle (Gaon) Year-End Chart: Best-Selling Male Artists in South Korea in 2022 (Top 3-5)
SEVENTEEN sits at No. 3 in the top 15 with 5,463,151. They join BTS and Stray Kids as the only male artists this year to surpass five million album sales.
In May and July, the 13-member boy group released their 4th full album "Face the Sun" and its repackaged version "SECTOR 17" respectively. While "Face the Sun" exceeded 2.27 million sales in its first month of release on Circle Chart, "SECTOR 17" sold 1.42 million copies.

As per the Circle (Gaon) Chart's annual album sales report this 2022, NCT Dream ranked fourth with a total of 4,112,887 copies sold in the past months. To recall, the septet dropped their second studio album "Glitch Mode" and its repackaged version "Beatbox" in March and May respectively. "Glitch Mode" was certified a double million seller, while "Beatbox" was certified a million seller.
Rounding out the top 5, TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT) secures No. 5 with 2,788,232 album sales. It is worth noting that the quintet only has one new album released this year, which is titled "minisode 2: Thursday's Child" - which sold over 1.78 million copies in South Korea as of Nov. 25.
