10 K-pop Groups That Disbanded In 2022: CLC, April, More

K-pop fans know that disbandment in groups comes off as completely natural and is not uncommon in the industry. However, 2022 had a series of disbandment which were difficult for both fans and idols alike.

While disbandment is not unusual, it's still a painful topic in the K-pop community. Here are 10 K-pop groups who disbanded this 2022.

1. CLC

One of the most shocking dismissal this year, CLC disbanded on June 6. CLC made its debut on March 19, 2015. After members Seungyeon and Yeeun left the label due to contract expiration, other members followed, leading to their departure from the K-pop scene.

2. APRIL

APRIL made its debut on August 24, 2015, and disbanded on January 28. About a year prior, several of the members were accused of harassing former member Hyunjoo.

Despite the members' denials of the allegations, and DSP Media's legal action for defamation, the group never recuperated from scandal's heat, eventually leading to their disbandment.

3. NU'EST

The boy group debuted on March 15, 2012, and officially split up on March 14. NU'EST members are now focusing on their solo careers.

4. D-CRUNCH

D-CRUNCH debuted on August 6, 2018, and disbanded on November 9. The news was posted on the group's fan cafe by their label, Ai Grand Korea, who claimed that the choice had been made after consultation with the boys.

5. BVNDIT

BVNDIT made their debut on April 10, 2019, and officially disbanded on November 11. Label MNH Entertainment stated the choice was discussed with the members and reached the conclusion of ending their exclusive contracts.

6. TRCNG

On March 28, TRCNG officially disbanded, leading members to go their separate ways. They debuted on October 10, 2017

7. LUNARSOLAR

On May 22, girl group LUNARSOLAR disbanded for unknown reasons. LUNARSOLAR debuted on September 2, 2020.

8. HOT ISSUE

HOT ISSUE debuted on April 28, 2021, and disbanded on April 22. Their label, S2 Entertainment, announced that the disbandment rooted from a through discussion with the members and agreement.

9. REDSQUARE

REDSQUARE disbanded on June 12 this year. The girl group debuted on May 19, 2020.

10. HINT

Girl group HINT officially disbanded on September 27. Their agency, Starpro Entertainment, didn't give out any official announcement regarding their dismissal. Afterwards, the shocking news was only revealed through one of the members' Instagram posts.

HINT debuted on March 31, 2017.
