BABYMONSTER's 2nd Member Ahyeon Revealed Through Live Performance Clip

On January 16, YG Entertainment revealed the second member of its rookie girl group BABYMONSTER, Ahyeon!

On this day, a live performance clip, "BABYMONSTER (#2) - AHYEON (Live Performance)," was uploaded on the agency's official YouTube channel.

In the video, Ahyeon delivered her rendition of GALXARA & Saweetie's "Sway With Me," showcasing her powerful vocals, rap skills, and confidence on top of the fast-tempo dubstep.

In particular, the rookie drew attention for her charismatic way of singing the song, and she also surprised everyone when she started rapping, flaunting fluent and clear English despite rap speed.

In context, even before Ahyeon took off her veil, the rookie became a hot topic for her circulating pre-debut photos that resemble BLACKPINK Jennie.

BABYMONSTER is a new girl group announced by YG Entertainment, about seven years after BLACKPINK.

Specific information such as debut form, final number of people, and concept is not yet known, but YG gave hints, saying:

"BABYMONSTER is a multinational group that includes not only Koreans but also foreign members, and most of them are teenagers."

According to initial reports, the seven-member team is the final elite members of YG trainees who have each been trained professionally over the past four years, each with thousands to one competition, mostly teenage girls.
