11 Idols Who Are Global Ambassadors To Luxury Fashion Brands 2023: EXO Kai, BTS Jimin, NewJeans Danielle, More!

Following selection of BLACKPINK and EXO members as famous global fashion brand ambassadors one after another, various brands have been attracting attention by tapping K-pop stars since early this year. See the updated list of global ambassadors in 2023!

In the fashion world, an ambassador is a face that represents the brand and plays a role in influencing design beyond simple models and expanding the value the brand aims for. 

If talking about influence and power, K-pop idols have the most impact on consumers around the world. Due to this, luxury brands are scrambling to appoint domestic stars as K-pop and content are popular around the world beyond Korea. The move is aimed at raising brand awareness and increasing sales by hiring domestic stars with global fandom.

Here Are 12+ K-pop Idols Who Are Global Ambassadors for Luxury Fashion Brands

1. EXO Kai

Among K-pop idols, EXO Kai is one of the first to be tapped as a global ambassador for the luxury brand Gucci.

He's been a part of the fashion house since 2019.

2. BTS Jimin

Alongside Jisoo, the French luxury brand Dior announced BTS Jimin as their latest and new global ambassador starting on Jan. 17.

3. BTS Suga

On the same day, Italian luxury brand Maison Valentino selected another member of BTS, Suga, as its global ambassador.

4. BIGBANG Taeyang

On January 19, BIGBANG Taeyang, who just returned to the music scene as a soloist, was appointed as a global ambassador for Givenchy.

This is the first time that the luxury brand has hired a male Korean as its representative.

5. NewJeans Danielle

Despite being a rookie, Danielle became the first NewJeans member to be chosen as a global ambassador for a high-end fashion house, Burberry.

6. BLACKPINK Jennie

The pioneer and trendsetter, Jennie has been working as a Chanel global ambassador since 2018 and contributed the most to establishing idols' strong presence in the luxury fashion industry.

7. BLACKPINK Jisoo

Since 2021, Jisoo has been representing the luxury house, Dior, now alongside Jimin and EXO Sehun.

It is estimated that the media impact value (MIV) that Jisoo can earn even if she posts just one Dior-related post on her personal Instagram account is worth $1.74 million.

8. BLACKPINK Lisa

In 2020, BLACKPINK Lisa was selected as the global ambassador for Celine after capturing the heart of Hedi Slimane, an esteemed fashion designer working for the brand.

9. BLACKPINK Rosé

Completing the BLACKPINK members, Rosé made history in the fashion industry as the first-ever global ambassador of Yves Saint Laurent in 59 years.

11. NCT Jaehyun

Although not exactly a global ambassador, in January 2023, NCT Jaehyun made history after being introduced as the first Korean to become Prada's global main campaign model.
