Chuu, LOONA Hyunjin & Vivi Surprises Orbits on Instagram Live

On January 31, LOONA Hyunjin and Vivi held an Instagram live to interact with fans. While their activity together was wholesome, Orbits were left wondering upon hearing a familiar voice in the background.

To their surprise, it was revealed that the mysterious person talking with Hyunjin and Vivi, was indeed former LOONA member Chuu!

In the girls' livestream, they were heard conversing with one another, showcasing their powerful friendship despite Chuu's departure.

The former member was embroiled in a series of controversies regarding claims of power abuse, to which most people in the K-pop community found groundless.

Chuu left the group after agency Blockberry Creative released an official statement, claiming her expulsion from LOONA. However, fans were stunned to know that Hyunjin and Vivi still forged a close friendship with Chuu regardless of the issues.

Orbits even joked about Blockberry Creative's patience upon seeing the livestream. The trio also treated fans with a short cover of NewJeans' "Ditto," charming them with their vocals.

Blockberry Creative Kicks Out Chuu From LOONA Over 'Abuse of Power'

On November 25, 2022, LOONA's label Blockberry Creative announced that Chuu will be leaving the group. In their statement, Chuu was expelled due to claims of "abuse of power" with the staff.

It stated that there were rumors of Chuu giving out bad treatment to the staff, in a form of insulting language. The agency revealed that an individual disclosed how Chuu behaved aggressively and abused her authority.

They also apologized to the staff members who were involved in the issue, as well as to Orbits, since the agency couldn't maintain all 12 LOONA members together.

"We are making this announcement to let fans know that, as of November 25, 2022, we have chosen to expel and withdraw our agency artist Chuu from LOONA."

"An inquiry revealed the truth when it was recently reported that Chuu used aggressive language and abused her position of authority towards our personnel. We have chosen to accept responsibility for this occurrence and decided to remove Chuu from LOONA."

"We would like to express our sincere apologies to the staff members who have been negatively affected because of this event. We deeply regret that we were unable to keep all 12 members of LOONA together until the very end and sincerely ask for your sincere forgiveness."

Furthermore, Blockberry Creative promised to take careful procedures to prevent similar instances in the future.
