Recently, IVE Liz was put in hot waters after internet users continuously pointed out her drastic weight gain compared to when she debuted in 2021.

Initially, netizens find it cute, but after maintaining her "chubbier" look for about a year, people started demanding the idol lose weight and return to her slim physique.

Amid this demand, Liz maintained her current appearance, and some of her fans started worrying about her as well. A lot even speculated that she was actually hiding a health-related problem, that's why she can't lose weight despite being called out. the criticism of Liz's weight got bigger after IVE started conducting its, "IVE THE FIRST FAN CONCERT IN JAPAN" on Feb. 18, 19 and 23.

However, amid the group's fan concert in Japan, fans were truly surprised when Liz shared her selfies on Twitter posted on the 22nd, showing her dramatic weight loss.

In the photos, Liz looks cute in her mirror selfies, rocking a jean jumpsuit. Looking at the pictures, people emphasized that the idol's face looks slimmer as well as her arms get smaller. After seeing her uploads, netizens started praising her and rooting for her to lose weight healthily and attested to Liz that they will support her on her journey of self-managing.

All is well until some netizens took to online communities to share Liz's photos taken by Korean journalists, during her departure from Gimpo International Airport to Osaka, Japan on February 22.

Internet users pointed out that Liz didn't lose weight at all contrary to what people speculated after seeing her selfies, and go as far as accusing the "After LIKE" singer of photoshopping.

After malicious commenters started attacking Liz's photos, DIVEs (fandom) defended the idol by pouring words of affirmation into the post, stating that the idol is pretty regardless of her weight.

They also called out haters for being too invested in the star's body, rather than her impeccable singing and dance skills.

But what makes it worse is that Liz is aware of the issue regarding her weight. Fortunately, the idol attested to fans that the criticism doesn't bother her anymore during a live stream. Liz also emphasized that she is doing fine and will do better, assuring fans that she's always happy thanks to their fandom, DIVE.
