On February 26, BIGHIT MUSIC uploaded an official statement regarding J-Hope's military enlistment and solo release.

The notice was made on Weverse, informing fans that J-Hope has began the first steps of his enlistment process by terminating his postponement. The agency also assured netizens that more updates will be revealed when necessary.

BIGHIT MUSIC also advised fans to support J-Hope until his military service has concluded. They also expressed support for the idol in his endeavors.

Shortly after the announcement was made, a follow-up notice was also posted on Weverse. The continuation contained information regarding J-Hope's upcoming solo single, "On The Street." According to BIGHIT MUSIC, the song will contain J-Hope's candid feelings towards ARMYs and present his street dance roots.

J-Hope will also tell fans his origins, when he realized his dream to become an artist and the bond he has with ARMYs.

BIGHIT MUSIC added that J-Hope's new music would mean a lot to fans, and instructed them to look forward on his upcoming solo single.

'On The Street' will be released on Friday, March 3, 2 p.m. KST.

J-hope wrote the track to share his candid feelings toward his fans. The title "on the street" refers to j-hope's roots-street dance-from which his dream to become an artist began, and the path the artist and fans will continue to walk together.

We hope that j-hope's "on the street" serves as a meaningful gift to everyone who supports the artist. Please look forward to j-hope's new song!

ARMYs Demand J-Hope's Album From BIGHIT MUSIC: 'Why release digital single only?'

Upon seeing the announcement, ARMYs were frustrated with "On The Street" being released only in digital. ARMYs demanded a physical album from BIGHIT MUSIC, expressing how much J-Hope deserves one before enlisting.

They also recalled how J-Hope didn't get to have a physical album in his previous album "Jack In The Box." Others pleaded that it's not too late to give J-Hope a "real album."
