On March 7, netizens gathered on a forum, where they discussed Seok Matthew, a "Boys Planet" contestant, who has strong resemblance to the EXO member.
Matthew, a former Cube Entertainment trainee, is a representative of his current agency MNH Entertainment. The trainee has joined the program to compete with his well-rounded talents and charisma, giving him potential to end up as one of the finalists.
During one of the survival program's episodes, the trainee has caught netizens' eyes, for looking like Xiumin. In the forum, netizens relayed screenshots of Matthew smiling on the survival program.
Netizens were amazed by the similarities and expressed how much the two idols look alike. They also wondered if Xiumin and Matthew were related to each other.

The trainee was born in Canada, and is a multi-lingual, capable of speaking the French language. He then revealed that he became an idol because of his role model, Jay Park.
In the program, Matthew belongs to the G-group, which consists of global trainees from around the world. Aside from his association with the group, Matthew has also performed several solo stages in "Boys Planet," charming judges, contestants, and viewers with his presence.
