Former NMIXX Jinni Rumored To Debut as Soloist in THIS Month

Jinni, the former center of fourth-gen girl group NMIXX will reportedly return as a soloist!

Earlier on March 18, the female idol opened her personal Instagram, hinting at the resumption of her activities in the K-pop scene. After about three months of no updates about her, Jinni greeted K-pop fans and netters by posting her never-been-seen latest selfies.

This was also the first official news about her after leaving the septet and its initial agency JYP Entertainment in December last year.

In the photos, Jinni flaunted her unrelenting beauty and charisma, wearing a fitted body con dress and boots. Her facial features shine even brighter with her long, straight and black hair.

As soon as she uploaded her new snaps, the post immediately amassed over 1.2 million likes. Her official account also garnered more than 1.1 million followers, as of the 20th.

With her sudden appearance, there is high anticipation of what will be her next move after launching her sns platforms.

According to a news agency report, TopStarNews on this day, Jinni is expected to start anew as a soloist. The media outlet stated:

"Jinni is preparing to resume her official activities by discussing the contract with its new agency. Rumors of her solo debut in April also surfaced, but nothing is known for certain yet."

According to other speculations, Jinni is actually planning to join YG Entertainment's subsidiary, THEBLACKLABEL, headed by producer Teddy Park and Kush. If the claims were true, Jinni will be part of the same label as top artists such as BIGBANG Taeyang, Jeon Somi, Zion T. and actor Park Bo Gum.

Jinni, a former member of NMIXX was first introduced in February 2022 under JYPE. After about 10 months, Jinni terminated her contract with the company due to personal reasons.

At the time, a lot was intrigued by why JYPE only revealed a general reason without informing NSWERs (fandom) of the exact reason for her departure, raising questions.

However, attention is being paid to the news of her solo debut that followed soon.

NMIXX Returns as 6-Member Group With 'Love Me Like This'

Meanwhile, following Jinni's departure, NMIXX reorganized into a six-member group and recently announced its first comeback without her.

On this day, the sextet releases its first mini-album, "expérgo" at 6 p.m. KST along with its title song, "Love Me Like This."

The track is a mix of street vibe bounce rap and R&B style vocal lines, depicting the true connection and change of people who have fallen in love with each other.

Regarding their first comeback without Jinni, leader Haewon expressed their confidence as a team with six members, saying:

"Since our debut, we have been working hard to show our own colors. We are really working hard to realize the team's identity and develop it further. I believe that the fans will love and support the six of us."
