BOL4 Announces Comeback THIS Month, To Hold Solo Concert

After months of hiatus, BOL4 is back! Shofar Entertainment released the schedule of her return, and also announced she is set to hold a solo concert.

BOL4 To Release New Mini-Album

On March 21, Bolbbalgan4, mostly known as BOL4, is set to return after a year of hiatus, confirmed by the Shofar Entertainment.

The agency stated that the released "coming soon" image represents the upcoming album of BOL4, titled "Love-zip." The photo also shows a close-up view of Ahn Ji Young, with a strawberry between her lips.

The mini-album will be released on April 16.

Meanwhile, Shofar also announced that  BOL4 will hold a solo concert at the Olympic Hall Seoul from April 29 to 30. The ticket sales will prove the BOL4's influence, following her sold-out concert last year.

Prior to the event, BOL4 will also hold a concert in Taiwan on April 15. This will be her first show in Taiwan after four years.

BOL4, which debuted in 2016, was originally a duo - with members Ahn Ji Young and Woo Ji Yoon. The two participated in the Korean idol survival show, "Superstar K6," in 2014.

The two signed with Shofar Entertainment in January 2015, and made their official music debut in April 2016, with the EP "Red Ickle," quickly becoming chart-toppers with hits like "Galaxy," "Some," and "Travel."

"Some" is a notable hit because of its mischievous tune and relatable lyrics. Apart from this, BOL4 also released other hit songs, such as "Workaholic," "To My Youth," "Bom," and many more.

 

Woo Ji Yoon left in April 2020, citing concerns about her future career. She now promotes as ODD CHILD, while under XX Entertainment.

Ahn Ji Young, on the other hand, continues her solo career as BOL4.

After releasing her sixth EP, "Youth Diary II" with EXO Baekhyun in May 2020, and the solo single "Filmlet" in November of the same tear, Ahn Ji Young announced her hiatus.

During her hiatus, she said she was able to let go of the insecurity that had tormented her as she created music. She decided she wanted to write songs more freely.

BOL4's last release was the EP "Seoul," based on her own experience. The song explains the tears of sorrow and joy of the years spent in Seoul.

Nevertheless, fans still support BOL4 and Woo Ji Yoon. Many are happy and looking forward to BOL4's upcoming mini-album and events.
