THIS Idol Who Almost Debuted in TWICE Confirms Re-Debut With New Girl Group

After failing to debut in TWICE and fromis_9, THIS female idol and former popular trainee from JYP Entertainment is finally joining a new girl group!

Natty Confirms Re-Debut With S2 Entertainment's Girl Group in 2nd Half of 2023

Solo artist Natty will finally re-debut as a member of a soon-to-debut girl group!

According to SPOTV News coverage on March 21:

"Natty will join as a new girl group member of S2 Entertainment, which is scheduled to debut in the first half of this year."

Although the members are yet to be revealed, the media outlet furthered that the rookie team set to be launched by S2 Entertainment consists of members with top visuals and skills.

Among them, Natty, who has strengthened her skills through her audition program experience and solo activities, is drawing attention to her new charm as a girl group member.

Earlier in July 2022, Natty signed an exclusive contract with her current agency, after leaving Swing Entertainment, the company to which she debuted as a soloist.

S2 was founded by Chairman Hong Seung Sung, a former JYP President and co-founder of Cube Entertainment. With his wide experience raising K-pop groups such as 4Minute, B2ST, BTOB, CLC, Pentagon, HyunA, (G)I-DLE and singer Rain, there is already high anticipation of how the new girl group will challenge the music industry.

Natty Past Activities

To those who don't know Natty, the female star rose as a popular JYP Entertainment trainee from Thailand. At the age of 12, she started training under the company and made her face known by appearing on Mnet's "Sixteen," the program that created the "Nation's Girl Group" TWICE in 2015.

Although she was only 13 when she participated in the audition show, Natty garnered rave reviews from viewers and producer J.Y. Park especially favored her impeccable dance skills. She was also one of the fans' favorites and a lot were actually confident that she will successfully join the final lineup. Unfortunately, she was eliminated in the last episode and one of the said factors was her young age.

Since then, Natty has challenged her second audition with Mnet's "Idol School," drawing attention to her further growth. Her beauty, singing skills and dancing abilities were highly lauded, but still, she failed to join the final lineup of the debuting team, now known as fromis_9.

Eventually, Natty decided to pursue her solo career in 2020 to thank her growing fandom, TwiNny and released her singles "NINETEEN" and "Teddy Bear."

After her solo debut, the pandemic came and the idol went back to her family. She "disappeared" from the K-pop scene, although she was actively communicating with her fans through social media platforms.

Due to her not releasing anything in about three years, there are speculations that Natty is preparing to leave the music scene for good. Fortunately, it was only a rumor and it was quite the opposite since she will embark on her debut in her first-ever girl group!
