Fantagio to Launch New Boy Group Following Artists ASTRO, WEKI MEKI

On March 22, Korean media news outlet Osen released an exclusive report, indicating that Fantagio is set to debut their newest boy group in 2023's first half.

It also detailed that the group is reportedly preparing for their debut album. The upcoming group will now trail fellow artists inside Fantagio, who is famously popular for housing artists ASTRO and WEKI MEKI.

They will also be the first to debut under Fantagio in the last seven years. The report also added that the members will comprise of idols who are immensely talented in terms of vocals, dance, and visuals. Moreover, it revealed the group's anticipation for their debut in the K-pop industry.

On the statement, it also disclosed that Cha Eun Woo, Moonbin, JinJin, and Sanha are all looking forward to the boy group, as they're interested to know if Fantagio can launch another "global boy group" after ASTRO, who has received love worldwide.

Apart from ASTRO and WEKI MEKI, Fantagio also shelters soloists Choi Yoojung, MJ, and Ong Seong Wu.

It also comprises of celebrities in the K-drama industry, such as Cha Eun Woo of ASTRO, Choi Yoojung of WEKI MEKI, Chu Yejin, Ong Seong Wu, and many more.

Fantagio Releases Official Statement on Rocky's Departure From ASTRO, Agency

In other news, Fantagio announced Rocky's withdrawal from the agency and ASTRO, right after his contract expired.

On February 28, Fantagio stated that after an in-depth conversation with Rocky, the decision of departing was concluded. Rocky has been an ASTRO member for seven years, and with his hard work with the group, Fantagio also expressed their support for the singer.

The agency stated:

"This was decided following a lengthy discussion with Rocky, who has been a member of ASTRO with us for the previous seven years, and he will now discontinue his exclusive contract with Fantagio and activities with ASTRO.

"Rocky's dedication to ASTRO is truly appreciated, and we will support him in his future endeavors. We also want to thank all of Rocky's fans and ask that you continue to stand with him as he starts a new chapter."

"ASTRO will continue with five members in the future, and they will now concentrate on unit and solo activities in addition to providing care for Fantagio."
