Soyou Talks About Possibility of SISTAR's Reunion + Advice To MAMAMOO
In a broadcast, 2nd-gen female idol Soyou talked about the possibility of reuniting with SISTAR members. She also revealed the advice she gave to MAMAMOO ahead of their contract renewal.
Soyou Shares Thoughts on SISTAR's Much-Awaited Reunion
SISTAR
On March 30, former SISTAR turned soloist Soyou uploaded a new vlog on her personal YouTube channel, SOYOUGI. She posted Episode 1 of her channel's new corner called "혼저옵소유," and introduced her first-ever guests, MAMAMOO Solar and Moon Byul.
There, Soyou then mentioned SISTAR, her former idol group, and emphasized their team's similarities with MAMAMOO. Aside from having the same shop before, the energy and relationships of both teams were also identical.
While reminiscing the teams' interactions, Solar finally asked the most important question to the former SISTAR member:
"Do SISTAR have any thoughts of reuniting?"
With this, Soyou responded:
"I want to gather together, but I think it's going to be hard."
The "Give It to Me" singer explained:
"It's very difficult to coordinate the schedule because I have two friends who act and two friends who sing."

In particular, Dasom and Bora decided to pursue their acting paths, while Soyou and Hyolyn are actively promoting as solo artists.
While the they occasionally reunite to perform their previous hits, fans especially STAR1 (fandom) anticipate a reunion album and new release from the group six years after they dropped its last single, "Lonely."
Hearing this, Moon Byul sympathized with Soyou and said:
"It's understandable, there may be another goal that each other wants to achieve."
Soyou's Advice To MAMAMOO
As the broadcast went on, Moon Byul then recalled her first encounter with their senior group SISTAR.

"MAMAMOO and SISTAR had the same shop. The seniors were so scary. The sisters didn't scare me, but rather, their energy."
Soyou laughed, saying:
"Was it scary then?"
Despite their "scary" energy, Moon Byul conveyed her appreciation to Soyou as a good senior who gave her a lot of advice during MAMAMOO's contract renewal season.

Soyou then remembered what she told them at the time, saying:
"I always said, 'Never disband.'"
She continued:
"In a way, SISTAR officially broke up in a cool way. But when juniors ask me, I always say, 'Don't disband.'"
Soyou also expressed her love for MAMAMOO, narrating:
"I thought MAMAMOO had the same resolution as us. So I always wanted (MAMAMOO) to do better."
MAMAMOO+, the sub-unit comprised of Solar and Moon Byul, dropped its comeback single album, "ACT 1, SCENE 1," along with its title track, "GGBB" and its pre-released track, "Chico Malo."
