In other news, Seulgi has also flourished in her solo career by making headlines in Hanteo Charts. On October 4, 2022, Seulgi released her much-awaited solo debut, "28 Reasons." She also became the third Red Velvet member to go solo, following bandmates Wendy and Joy.
In her solo album, it included the title track of the same name, "28 Reasons," alongside B-sides "Dead Man Runnin," "Bad Boy, Sad Girl," "Anywhere But Home," "Los Angeles," and "Crown."
On October 5 KST, Hanteo unveiled that "28 Reasons" had sold a total of 134,682 album copies on its first day. This achievement also gave Seulgi a new career record, which indicated her highly successful solo debut.
Seulgi has also surpassed Nayeon of TWICE, who made her solo debut with "IM NAYEON" in June 2022. Nayeon had collected more than 123,000 album copies sold on its first day of release.
Seulgi's "28 Reasons" also became the fourth best-selling album from a female K-pop soloist in Hanteo Chart, in terms of first day sales.
It also followed behind albums "LALISA" by BLACKPINK Lisa (330,129), "-R-" by BLACKPINK Rosé (282,674), and "Lilac" by IU (216,318).
