10 Most Popular K-pop Male Idols for April 2023: BTS Jimin, ASTRO Cha Eun Woo, More!

For the month of April, the Korean Business Research Institute has announced the official rankings for K-pop male idols. The rankings are simply a brand reputation list that covers the most popular idols for April.

These results were derived through analysis on consumer participation, communication, community awareness, media coverage and overall exposure. It was also determined across 703 boy group members, which was collected from March 15 to April 15.

Here are 10 most popular K-pop boy group members for April 2023!

1.    BTS Jimin

Jimin of BTS dominated on the list with a brand reputation index of 8,013,315, due to a 98.64 percent increase. As for the keyword analysis, high-ranking related terms contained the words "record," "release," and "surpass." Jimin has also garnered 92.39 percent positive reactions on his positivity-negativity analysis.

2.    ASTRO Cha Eun Woo

ASTRO Cha Eun Woo made it to second place, after gaining a brand reputation index of 5,198,244. This is due to a 22.31 percent increase, surpassing his March score.

3.    Former Wanna One Kang Daniel

On No. 3, former Wanna One member Kang Daniel claimed the spot with a 7.43 percent increasing, giving him a brand reputation index of 4,065,621.

4.    BTS V

BTS V ranked in fourth with a brand reputation index of 3,850,206. V also made a buzz for his ELLE photoshoot, where he flaunted his visuals and stylish fashion.

5.    BTS J-Hope

J-Hope of BTS finally rounded up the top 5 with a brand reputation index of 3,537,047. The BTS member has also trended this April because of his military enlistment. J-Hope's enlistment news became the subject of discussion across various online communities, earning him the fifth place.

6.    BTS Suga

Suga of BTS gained a total of 2,592,828 on his brand reputation index for April. The rapper also trended because of his solo activities, which involves preparations for his first solo debut album "D-DAY." Suga has also made headlines with his collab with top soloist IU, namely "People Pt. 2." The idol became busy this April, earning him a place on April's popularity rankings.

7.    BIGBANG G-Dragon

G-Dragon also joined this April's rankings. The "King of K-pop" gathered a brand reputation of 2,151,094.

8.    BTS Jungkook

BTS's youngest member Jungkook placed on list's No. 9, where he achieved a total of 2,109,872 for his April brand reputation index. Apart from his affiliation with BTS and solo endeavors, Jungkook also trended for being consistent in his livestreams.

9.    EXO Baekhyun

Baekhyun placed on the ninth spot with an index of 2,051,244. A major factor for his inclusion was because of EXO's large-scale fanmeeting "EXO' CLOCK" on April 8. Baekhyun's moments were heavily talked upon on the internet, especially when he announced EXO's upcoming group activities.

10.  Teen Top Changjo

Lastly, Changjo of Teen Top gained an index of 1,752,575.
