Jessi Reveals Real Reason She Left Psy's Agency P-Nation + Transfer To Jay Park's MORE VISION

After various speculations about why Jessi left P-Nation, the star squashed rumors she parted ways with Psy on a bad term after saying THIS. She also explained the reason she transferred to Jay Park's new label, MORE VISION.

Jessi Explains Why She Left Psy's Label

On April 23, KBS 2TV's "The Seasons: Jay Park's Drive" featured Jessi as its guest, who recently signed an exclusive contract with MORE VISION led by the MC Park Jaebeom himself.

In particular, Jessi was originally an artist under P-Nation, a company founded by veteran idol Psy. However, the singer decided to not renew her exclusive contract, officially leaving the agency in July last year.

Since then, she has not been working with an agency despite numerous love calls from other companies. It was only until Jay Park offered Jessi to sign with MORE VISION that the female singer decided to join hands with a new label on the 15th.

During the talk then, Jessi hinted at the real reason she initially decided to stand alone without agency, even leaving Psy. She said:

"I was actually going to start a company by myself. But it wasn't that easy when I tried it."

With this, it broke circulating rumors that Jessi's departure from the company didn't end on a good note, which intensified when HyunA and Dawn followed and broke contracts with Psy as well.

At the time, there are even reports saying that the three left due to mistreatment from the agency and due to their few releases despite being artists who used to dominate the K-pop charts during their heydays.

However, Jessi emphasized that she's only hoping for a new start, hopefully, starting her own label.

Jessi Shares Why She Joined Jay Park's MORE VISION

Jessi who left P-Nation also opened her mouth about why she joined MORE VISION amid big companies trying to sign her in their agencies.

On this day, Park introduced Jessi and said:

"She signed a contract with MORE VISION, which I founded not long ago, and became a family member. Jessie has received a lot of love calls from various companies."

In response, the "NUNU NANA" singer mentioned the reason she chose the company, saying:

"(I) am the type of person who challenges everything, but this time, I thought it was perfect if I go to Jaebeom. A new start. As his first artist."

Jessi then teased Jay Park about her expectations from him, saying:

"Do it right."

 In response, Jay Park said:

"I will work hard."

On the other hand, "The Seasons," which KBS introduced a new method of annual project, is a talk show produced by dividing the year into four seasons.

"Jay Park's Drive," the first season of "The Seasons," ended on the same day. Choi Jung Hoon, a member of the band Jannabi, will host the second season of "The Seasons."
