SHINee Onew Reacts To 'Shawol vs SM' Discord on Instagram
On May 2, Onew took to Instagram to announce a significant step in his life, which is becoming a yoga instructor/director, with the aim of providing healthy community service in both mind and body.
In particular, the idol revealed his "goal" of wishing happiness and well-being of his colleagues in the entertainment industry, emphasizing:
"I hope it won't happen again with me and the family members of my colleagues who went to heaven. That's why I'm doing this."
As soon as this was publicized, Onew was congratulated by a lot of his fans, Shawols, and expressed how proud they are of the idol. Onew continued to interact with fans in the comment section, but amongst the comments, one fan caught the eye of the "Blue" singer.
This is because the comment seems to be aiming to instill awareness in the idol about the recent status between Shawols and SM Entertainment.

As a quick summary, SHINee who will commemorate its 15th anniversary as a whole after Taemin's military discharge will hold a fan meeting on May 27th. However, when the venue was announced, the fandom called for venue change after fans complained about the non-elevated seats.

As a response, Onew comforted fans and attested to them like a real leader, saying:
"It is true that the company, employees, shawols, members, and artists have all suffered damage so far. But because we don't want to do that anymore, the members were talking with the company, and I think we'll solve it in the best way possible. I believe it and so does SHINee as well as the people who worked next to us. There is no answer (yet), but I will try to make many SHINee WORLDs happy."
Shawols Won: SM Entertainment Announces Venue Change For SHINee's Fan Meeting
With the collective efforts of fans and the members themselves, on the same day, SM Entertainment accepted "defeat" and confirmed that the venue for the fan meeting will be changed following protests from Shawols.
The company said:
"We sincerely apologize for causing concern to fans ahead of the 15th anniversary of SHINee and SHINee World.
As we are currently waiting for the answer from the new rental office, the pre-sale of the fan club scheduled for this evening and the general reservation on May 4 have been postponed, and we will quickly inform you of the venue and detailed schedule as soon as it is decided."

Meanwhile, SHINee was scheduled to hold its 15th-anniversary fan meeting "Everyday is SHINee Day: Piece of SHINE" at the 7th hall of KINTEX's 2nd exhibition hall in Ilsan, Gyeonggi Province, on May 27. Further details about the venue change are expected to be released in the following days.
