With the star-studded lineup announced in the field of professional singing, the anticipation of who will dub the main character Ariel also skyrocketed.

Just then, "The Little Mermaid" released the silhouette of a Korean artist who was also heard covering Ariel's theme song, "Part of Your World" in a "Guess Who?" teaser poster.

Netizens who saw this claimed that it was Danielle considering the hairstyle of the silhouette. Ariel's voice in the Korean dubbing also matches the female idol's.

However, the response was divided. Of course, as soon as the poster was released, Bunnies (fandom) are already excited about her performance even before the movie took off its veil officially.

On the flip side, a lot were frustrated that Disney selected a non-professional voice actor, and continued complaining about Danielle's awkward acting and accent.

Netizens left comments such as:

  • "She's not a professional voice actor, and her acting is awkward."
  • "Why do you let a new idol dub the main character?"
  • "I think it will suit you well because you sing well and have a pretty voice, but this is not it."
  • "She's not even good at speaking Korean yet and she will dub Korean Ariel?"

Born in 2005, Danielle, a Korean-Australian was born in Australia, lived in Korea, and returned to Australia to spend her school days. Due to this, some Internet users pointed out her inaccurate pronunciation and expressed concern about the Korean version of Ariel's voice being released on the dubbing.
