MONSTA X Shownu & Hyungwon Prepares For Sub-Unit Debut

On May 3, Korean news outlet TV Report announced Shownu and Hyungwon's sub-unit preparations.

According to the report, Starship Entertainment has confirmed the upcoming act. They also disclosed that no official schedule for their debut has been decided, and assured MONSTA X's fandom MONBEBEs that more updates will be released on a later date.

Shownu and Hyungwon is expected to debut as a unit group in the summer of 2023. This upcoming endeavor will be Shownu's first official activity since his military discharge in April 2022. This unit will be one of the most anticipated acts in K-pop, since Shownu and Hyungwon have showcased their passion in performing.

"Shownu and Hyungwon are preparing for the debut as MONSTA X's first unit group. As for their official debut schedule, the matters are still undecided.

MONSTA X's English Album 'The Dreaming' Makes First Entry on Billboard 200

In other news, MONSTA X made an achievement on Billboard 200 chart. On December 21, 2021, Billboard revealed that MONSTA X's second full-length English album "The Dreaming" has peaked at No. 21 on the Billboard 200.

The album has also earned a place on other Billboard charts, claiming the No. 3 spot on Independent Album chart, Top Album Sales chart, and Top Current Album Sales chart. It was also included on Billboard Canadian Album and Hot Trending Songs.

MONSTA X's "The Dreaming" is a full-length English album, that followed their previous release of "ALL ABOUT LUV," after one year and 10 months.

According to sources, the album was already completed by the group leader Shownu before he enlisted. Apart from Billboard, "The Dreaming" also debuted on the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart.
