On May 3, IVE Jang Wonyoung, one of the fourth-gen leaders has been garnering applause from K-pop enthusiasts after her significant improvements when live singing.

The hot discussion arose when her MR-removed video singing their latest hit, "Kitsch" was uploaded on various online communities as well as on the short-form video platform, TikTok.

As a quick background, MR-removed clips are videos where the instrumental or background music was removed through online tools, leaving the actual voice only.

In Jang's TikTok video then, the female star's part in the live stage of IVE's song "Kitsch" was featured without MR. Watching it, the female idol showed stable live skills, while performing the choreography perfectly. Compared to her previous videos when IVE dropped its recent songs, Wonyoung's voice is louder, her breathing is more stable and her words are clearer.

Fans also pointed out that her "improved" live vocals on top of her on-point dance and confidence made the whole performance even greater to watch, proving why IVE Jang Wonyoung is currently one of the most popular idols of this generation.

IVE Successfully Wraps Up 1st Full-Length Album, 'I've IVE'

Meanwhile, IVE, the group to which Jang Wonyoung belongs wrapped up its first full-length album, "I've IVE" released on April 10 with various achievements. In particular, their comeback schedule ended after its performance in the music show, "Inkigayo" which aired on April 30th.

But during their active promotion for the album, IVE won two gold medals on music shows with "Kitsch" and added a total of seven first-place trophies with the double title song "I AM."

IVE succeeded in making four consecutive mega hits with this song, following "ELEVEN," "Love Dive" and "After LIKE."

As soon as "Kitsch" and "I AM" were released, they immediately dominated the top spots of local Korean charts including MelOn and remained atop the whole month of April.

The physical album has also achieved remarkable results. With their first studio album, IVE became a million-seller artist for the second time in a row. On the first day of the initial tally alone, 600,000 copies were sold, and more than 1.1 million copies were sold in the first week (a week after release). This is the third-largest record for girl groups in history.
