A former YG trainee and idol shared her thoughts about BLACKPINK Jisoo and Lisa, who were both once her roommates.

Former YG Trainee Heo Yoo Jung Narrates First Impression of BLACKPINK Jisoo, Lisa

In a recent broadcast, an idol and former YG Entertainment trainee talked about BLACKPINK Jisoo and Lisa, and revealed her first impressions on the two.

On May 23, YouTube channel "Recent Status Olympics" featured Heo Yoo Jung, a former idol who once trained under YG Entertainment. There, while recalling her past experiences in the music industry, Heo reminisced the time when she shared a dorm with BLACKPINK.

"I lived in a dorm and practiced with the BLACKPINK members who are all successful now. At that time, there was an article saying, 'YG Girls' Generation is coming.' I was one of them. I have teamed up with Jisoo, Lisa and Jennie."

As she continued, Heo revealed the true personality of the members and starting with Jisoo, she said:

"They're all nice. I took a lesson with Jisoo. Jisoo's face remains the same, but her skills have improved a lot. I'm so happy that she was able to release a solo album. Jisoo has always been pretty since 10 years ago. I'm glad it went well for her."

Yoo Jung also talked about her impression of Lisa and emphasized how kind she is.

"Isn't Lisa really good? I was a trainee for a really long time and even went to New York to learn how to dance, but Lisa is just the best dancer. Out of all the girls I've seen, Lisa dances the best and is the coolest friend I've ever seen.

After coming back from Thailand, she cooked Pad Thai at the dorm for us. They are all so kind and pretty friends. I am always rooting for them in my heart."

Heo Yoo Jung Reveals Why She Didn't Debut in YG + Her Current Status

Despite training altogether, Heo wasn't able to debut with BLACKPINK and instead debuted in another girl group.

"The schedule has been changed to have male idols debuted first. The girl group is behind. But I was a bit old then. I was over 20 years old, but I humbly accepted it because they said, 'A girl group will come out in six years.'"

In 2014, Heo Yoo Jung then debuted 2014 as a Bob Girls member. Unfortunately, the team disbanded just eight months after its launch.

At the time, the former YG trainee revealed that BLACKPINK members rooted for her, saying:

"The members congratulated me on my debut and I'm still thankful. I hope everyone lives happily."

After failing as a K-pop idol, Heo decided to walk on a new path, which is pursuing her studies and own company.

"I enter graduate school and practice teaching at Chung-Ang University. Graduate school expenses are expensive, but I didn't have any scholarships. If I tutor, I can earn the tuition fee, so I'm teaching.

[...] I also set up a company called 'Souju Company' and worked as its representative and director."
