K-pop idols are making the most out of their schedules through releasing comebacks, appearing in variety shows, formal events, and other activities that can lead to their exposure.
For the month of May, the Korean Business Research Institute has unveiled the brand reputation rankings for female idols. According to their report, the rankings revealed were derived from a total of 635 individual girl group members.
The results were concluded from data gathered from April 21 to May 21. All rankings announced were distinguished through media coverage, consumer participation, and communication.
Here are the top 5 most popular K-pop female idols for May 2023!
1. BLACKPINK Jisoo
BLACKPINK Jisoo continued her reign over the list in No. 1, garnering a brand reputation index of 4,674,010. The "FLOWER" singer also included 84.02 percent positive reactions for her positivity-negativity analysis.
2. SNSD Taeyeon
On the second place, Taeyeon of SNSD scored a brand reputation index of 4,254,226. This is due to an overwhelming figure of 149.56 percent rise, earning the vocal queen her spot.
3. aespa Karina
Karina of aespa garnered a brand reputation index of 2,736,083, after earning a score increase of 79.65 percent. The idol has also been gaining attention for her activities with aespa, who managed to gain buzz through numerous events.
Notably, the girls have been busy for May, with their comeback promotions for "Spicy," Chopard Art Gala appearance, and attendance at the 76th Cannes Film Festival. Karina gained attention for her mesmerizing visuals and unending charisma.
4. NewJeans Minji
NewJeans member Minji raked in a brand reputation index of 2,712,999 for May. This is due to her activeness in the group's content, endorsements, and most of all, their comeback announcement which is set to drop on July.
5. NewJeans Hanni
Hanni of NewJeans followed Minji, completing the top five for May brand reputation rankings. In the list, Hanni received an index of 2,565,800. She also went viral for her presence at the 2024 Gucci Cruise Fashion Show.
