4 K-pop Idols Who Became Ambassadors in May 2023: BTS RM, NCT Jeno, More!

May has been a busy month for our favorite K-pop artists. Fans are well aware of how hectic idols' schedules are, especially when they're active in releasing new music, content, appearances, events, and many more.

Idols are making the best of their activities, and that leads them to online exposure. With their influence, idols can catch the eye of certain brands, campaigns, or services.

Without further ado, here are 4 K-pop idols who became ambassadors in May 2023!

1. BTS RM For MAKRI

On May 31, BTS's agency BIGHIT MUSIC officially announced that leader RM will be selected as the public relations ambassador for the MDA (Ministry of National Defense) Agency for KIA (Killed in Action) Recovery & Identification, which is also known as MAKRI.

RM would officially take on the role on June 1. MAKRI is a company that sets out on a mission to recover the remains of war heroes during the Korean War and returns them to their families.

RM will be its third public relations ambassador, following professor Seo Kyung Deok and host Song Hae. With RM's signing, the idol is expected to participate in future activities with MAKRI to support their projects.

2. NCT Jeno For Ferragamo

NCT Jeno made history on May 30, when he was officially appointed as Ferragamo's global brand ambassador. Notably, he also became the brand's first-ever male ambassador, making K-pop history.

Maximilian Davis, creative director of Ferragamo, has shared his statement regarding Jeno's inclusion. Meanwhile, Jeno has also expressed his excitement over the partnership. Given Jeno's iconic history in fashion, this collaboration is something worth looking out for.

"We're driven by the same passion in our creativity, and we feel fortunate to have him (NCT Jeno) join Ferragamo."

"I am very excited to create a synergy with the brand, and I'm looking forward to disclosing our future projects!"

3. NCT Doyoung For Dolce & Gabbana

Doyoung of NCT became the newest brand ambassador for Dolce & Gabbana. To celebrate Doyoung's presence, the Italian luxury brand posted several pictures on Instagram, which displayed Doyoung's fashionable clothes and charismatic vibe.

The brand stated:

"With his ability to uphold the status of a global K-pop icon, Doyoung expresses his own charisma and talent through music and class."

4. ASTRO Cha Eun Woo For '2023-2024 Visit Korea Year'

On May 24, Fantagio announced that idol actor Cha Eun Woo has been selected as the project ambassador for "2023-2024 Visit Korea Year." Cha Eun Woo is expected to participate in activities in promoting Korean culture and tourism.
