On June 22, a web user sparked a discussion in a popular web forum after talking about NewJeans Haerin's recent appearance.

In the post, titled, "I decided not to believe in female idol's plastic surgery assumptions after seeing NewJeans Haerin," the author pointed out the power of makeup.

“Her makeup has totally changed the mood. She looks so beautiful."

As of writing, the post has amassed about 200k views and more than 400 up-votes, defending the "OMG" singer from plastic surgery rumors.

In particular, the speculations that Haerin underwent cosmetic procedure/ surgery started when some compared her recent appearance to her pre-debut photos.

People emphasized the changes in her eye shape and pointed out her slimmer jawline.

They also explained that the noticeable changes in Haerin can be explained by the change in her makeup style, transitioning from her sharp cat-like image to her innocent puppy-like aura.
