Red Velvet Yeri left for Singapore to complete a promotion schedule for her web drama, "Bitch X Rich," co-starring with rising actress Lee Eun Saem.
Before she departed from Incheon International Airport, Yeri allowed fans and media to have a mini photo op. She showed her lively side by smiling at the camera brightly, and even giving fan service by doing cute poses.
On the same day, her photos were shared online. Yeri was praised for her elegant and mature beauty that gave off an actress vibe. Wearing an all-black ensemble on top of her black hair, the idol actress completed her look by balancing the colors with a white mini bag.
However, when her photos circulated in a popular online community, web users particularly drew attention to one detail that "changed" her visuals - and that is her straight eyebrows!

In the past, the idol used to have straight eyebrows that helped her achieve the innocent and lovely maknae image. However, she suddenly changed it into arches eyebrows and adopted heavier makeup rather than light coverage, which earned her criticism.

Thus, after seeing Yeri with straight eyebrows and light makeup again, netters are hoping that she could maintain this again as she looks "more beautiful" with such an image.

This is not the first time that Yeri was given attention regarding her style choices and image.
After debuting, Yeri seemed to have more opinions regarding her style and makeup, eventually drifting away from the cutesy image and going for the "hot girl" look.
However, this decision of hers didn't sit well with her fans, leading her to be criticized for pursuing an image that "doesn't suit" her and was even accused of imitating IU, Girls' Generation Taeyeon, and BLACKPINK Jennie.
Amid everything, Yeri confessed she was aware of it, but showed her desire to continue living her way regardless of what people say about her.
In a recent interview with Cosmopolitan Korea, Yeri addressed the judgments regarding her visuals and amazed people by saying that she was done with pleasing others.

"Ah, there are (definitely judgments against me). My job is the kind where people would say, 'Why are you going for seagull-shaped eyebrows when you look better with straight eyebrows?' At first, I was bothered by it since I still don't know myself and I don't have a set of preferences.
So, when I hear something like that, I would think, 'Should I just stick with my straight eyebrows?' But later on, I realized that's living for others, not for myself."
Yeri continued by expressing her resolution to do what makes her happy instead, saying:
"I was so young when I debut so I am clueless, but after getting older, It hits me that I should live my life for myself, and do things that I want. Now, I don't care anymore about random judgments from people I barely know."
