Jungkook Makes Impressive #1 Debut on Billboard's Hot 100 + Joins BTS, Jimin as Only Artists to Achieve Feat

BTS's outstanding impact is still evident as ever!

On July 24, local time, Billboard officially announced their Hot 100 chart's top 10. This weekly list ranks the most trending songs in the United States, which features artists from all around the globe.

Among all of these artists, BTS maknae Jungkook placed No. 1 with "Seven," dominating the list dated for July 29. The feat is amazing in itself since this is Jungkook's first time to enter Hot 100 as a solo artist, garnering widespread acclaim.

Jungkook didn't just manage to secure first place, but also joined his fellow bandmate and soloist Jimin, who also earned Hot 100's No. 1 with solo track "Like Crazy." Jimin achieved this feat on April 3, when he became the first Korean soloist to do so.

Apart from Jimin, Jungkook has also joined his own group BTS, the only other Korean act to hit No. 1 at Hot 100.

According to Luminate's data during its first week of release (July 14 to 20), the track "Seven" achieved a figure over 153,000 song downloads and CD singles. This was added by Jungkook's achievement of collecting 21.9 million streams, as well as 6.4 million radio airplay impacts.

Aside from Billboard's Hot 100, "Seven" also made its debut at No. 1 on both Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. chart.

BTS Jungkook Ranks First Place on July 2023's Brand Reputation Rankings for K-pop Male Idols

In other news, Jungkook didn't just make waves across music charts, but also for his popularity ranking on the month of July. The Korean Business Research Institute has announced their brand reputation index chart, which covered individual male idols.

The No. 1 spot was occupied by Jungkook, who received a brand reputation index of 4,637,262. Regarding his positivity-negativity analysis, Jungkook gained a total of 90.82 percent positive reactions.
