In a recent roundtable interview with the press, popular actor Park Seo Joon revealed his reasons for adopting a more cautious approach when it comes to sharing details of his private life.

The interview, held on August 1 KST, coincided with the impending premiere of his film "Concrete Utopia," slated for release on August 9.

Park Seo Joon's Revelation

The actor's decision to become more reserved about his personal life became apparent in June, when he found himself embroiled in dating rumors with YouTuber Xooos.

Instead of confirming or denying the speculations, Park Seo Joon's camp chose to maintain silence, asserting that such matters fell within the realm of his "private life."

During the roundtable interview, the actor was once again asked to address the recent issue.

Park Seo Joon began by explaining, "I wasn't always so reserved about my private life, but there is a reason why I've decided to take a more reserved stance."

He went on to recount a disturbing incident that served as a turning point in his decision-making. 

"One day, when I drove my car out from the parking garage at my residence, I noticed that the same car was following me wherever I went, always trailing me from somewhere near my house. Sometimes, the same car would already be at my destination beforehand. This continued for about 2 months," he shared.

Family's Concern and Regret

The actor's candid confession highlighted the terror he experienced during those distressing months. "It was bone-chilling and terrifying," he admitted.

That experience was the tipping point of my more reserved position. Even my family takes great caution in their daily lives, worrying that their actions will affect me. In the past, I would share photos of my family, since they were also happy to share the photos with others. However, I am now regretting how open I was back then. When I think about how anyone around me can be affected by my actions and decisions, I don't know where the boundary line should be."

Park Seo Joon's Battle to Safeguard His Privacy and Sanity

Park Seo Joon concluded by acknowledging that he continues to face similar challenges, with the same individual occasionally appearing around him, albeit in different cars. These ongoing experiences have left the actor with no option but to maintain a heightened sense of caution.

The revelation sheds light on the struggles and challenges that celebrities face in navigating the balance between public and private life. Park Seo Joon's decision to open up about his experiences offers a glimpse into the often unseen consequences of fame and the measures taken to protect personal boundaries.
